Each lot will be open for bidding in a “Board Sale” format at 9 AM. All bidding will be closed at 12 Noon. Each lot will be sold to the highest bidder once the published reserve is met. Cattle will be available for viewing at the sale site beginning Friday, November 7. Heifer Show: JBBA Heifer Show will be held following conclusion of sale. Show coordinator Casey Ballard, 979-574-5372 or email [email protected]. Flyer and entry form online at www.beefmasters.org under Junior Section. Accomodations: Quality Inn & Suites Groesbeck • 254-729-0077 Sale Day Phone: 936-661-1074 For catalogs please contact: Debbie Bradbury 936-295-7129 [email protected] How the sale will work Thank you for your interest in our sale. We will be using a “board sale” format. Each consignor will place a minimum bid on each of his lots. This number will represent the absolute lowest dollar amount which he will agree to accept for his consignment. These minimum bids will be determined on or before Friday, November 8 and will be posted on each pen and on the “board” by 9 AM Saturday, November 9. Representatives of the consignors will be set up in a central area where the boards are located. Buyers are asked to pre-register when they arrive. At any time a buyer chooses to place a bid on a lot, they need only indicate the lot number (ear tag number) and the amount to one of those representatives and they will post the bid along with the buyer’s identification on the board next to that lot (bids will only be accepted if the bid meets or exceeds the seller’s minimum). At any time a buyer wishes to increase a bid, they need only indicate the lot number and the new amount of their bid; increased bids will only be accepted in increments of $100. At noon on November 9, the bidding will be closed out. The announcer will indicate which lot is being closed out and will ask for any additional bids for that lot. The announcer will continue to ask for additional bids until all bidding on that lot ceases. At that point the animal will be sold without reserve to the highest bidder (provided the bid meets or exceeds the seller’s minimum). The announcer will then proceed to the next lot until all the lots are closed out. Bids will be accepted by telephone provided the bidder has registered in advance and has made arrangements for payment. Terms and Conditions of Sale Bidding Dispute: The announcer will settle any dispute as to bids and his decisions on such matters will be final. Terms: Terms of the sale are cash due upon sale day unless prior credit arrangements have been agreed upon between buyer and seller, in which event the terms of the written credit agreement between buyer and seller will prevail. Payment will be accepted by check, cash or money order only. Certificate of Breeding And/Or Transfer: A certificate of breeding and the transfer will be furnished at Seller’s expense for each lot sold including calves at side. Health: All animals will have appropriate health papers for travel to the sale site and to the best of the Seller’s knowledge will be eligible for interstate shipment. Non virgin bulls will be trich tested. Buyers need to be aware of their individual resident state requirements for shipment of cattle. Pregnancy and Semen Tests: Pregnancy information will be posted sale day. All bulls 18 months or older will be semen tested. Announcements: Any change in information of any kind will be announced at the sale site and such announcements will take precedence over printed material. Guarantees: All guarantees, if any, other than those specifically expressed herein, shall be agreed upon by buyer and seller. Rights and Obligations: The above terms and conditions of sale shall constitute a contract between buyer and seller of each animal and shall be equally binding upon both. Each sale or resale of an animal constitutes a separate transaction. Neither Bradley’s Circle J, Micah C. Brock, Oran Buckner, Four Forks Farm, Haywire Cattle, J&L Ranch, Trenton’s Bar G, nor any person connected with the management of the sale assumes any liability, legal or otherwise, for any subsequent injury or resale of an animal. Both show prospects were ranked for quality and placed in the top three from a group of 10 heifers. Whether she goes on a halter or into the herd as a replacement female, her future is bright. Calfhood vaccinated. Four Forks 303 was selected to be a back up bull for Renovator and Steeldust in the event we needed him, but we decided to offer him for sale because we hate to see him unused. His dam is polled and this was her first calf. Bulls like this are hard to find and that isn’t likely to change for awhile. Don’t miss him.
