RONNIE UNDERWOOD

Ronnie Underwood returns to Oklahoma City Ballet as a principal dancer having danced most recently with
Ballet West in Salt Lake City and as a featured dancer on the hit WB television series Breaking Pointe. Originally
from California, Ronnie grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma and received his training from Tulsa School of Ballet, Ballet
Hispanico in New York City, and American Ballet Theatre. He began his professional career as an apprentice
with Tulsa Ballet before joining Texas Ballet Theater at the age of 19 under the direction of Ben Stevenson. He
later danced as a principal dancer with Oregon Ballet Theatre under the direction of Christopher Stowell.
Ronnie has performed the leading male role in much of classical and neo-classical ballet’s standard repertoire
including Giselle, Coppelia, Swan Lake, and Apollo. His contemporary repertoire includes works by Trey McIntyre,
Nicolo Fonte, James Kudelka, Val Caniparoli, and Jiri Kylian among others. He has enjoyed numerous opportunities as a guest artist, most notably with the critically acclaimed South African Ballet Theatre dancing the role
of Prince Florimund in The Sleeping Beauty. With Oklahoma City Ballet, he has danced Cavalier in The
Nutcracker and Peasant Pas de deux in Giselle, in addition to principal roles in Balanchines’ Valse Fantaisie,
Gerald Arpino’s Light Rain, Paquita, and new works from Jessica Lang, Helen Pickett, and Artistic Director
Robert Mills.

Ezlimar Dortolina started her ballet studies in the Classical Ballet School in Venezuela, where she graduated in 1996. She
became an apprentice with the Classical Ballet of Camara at the age of 13. In 1996, she participated in the International Ballet
Competition in Varna, Bulgaria. After this competition, Ezlimar obtained a scholarship in order to continue her ballet studies
at the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, D.C. She received a full scholarship from the UNESCO to study ballet at the
Ecole Superieure de Danse Rosella Hightower in Cannes, France. She has worked as a soloist in Ballet Clasico de Camara,
Ballet Teresa Carreño, Ballet Contemporaneo de Caracas, as a guest artist in Ballet Concierto de Puerto Rico to perform
Mercedes in Don Quixote, and was a member of Tulsa Ballet. In 2006, Ezlimar participated in the Jackson International Ballet
Competition. Ezlimar also danced with the Colombian Classical Ballet, State Street Ballet, and Charleston Ballet Theatre.
With Oklahoma City Ballet Ezlimar has danced the woman from his past in Antony Tudor’s Lilac Garden, Sugar Plum Fairy in
The Nutcracker, the title role in Carmen, and leading roles in Robert Mills’ Paris Rouge, and Pushing Pennies. Ezlimar joined the
corps de ballet in 2012 and was promoted to soloist in 2014.
DAYOUNG JUNG Joined the company in 2012 // Hometown: Gyeongsang, South Korea
DaYoung Jung trained for five years at Moscow’s Bolshoi Ballet Academy before returning to her native Korea to dance as a
guest artist with Jung Yoo Young Ballet Company. She came to the United States to dance with the Atlantic City Ballet where
she danced principal roles including the Snow Queen in The Nutcracker and Lucy in Dracula. In 2006, she was a semi finalist in
the Serge Lifar International Ballet Competition held in Donetsk, Ukraine. Roles with Oklahoma City Ballet include the Sugar
Plum Fairy and Clara in Robert Mills’ The Nutcracker, soloist in Napoli Divertssements, pas de trios in Swan Lake, the Monkey
Queen in Toni Pimble’s Mowgli – The Jungle Book Ballet, Principal in George Balanchine’s Rubies, and Belle in Robert Mills’
Beauty and the Beast. She joined the company in 2012 and in 2014 was promoted to soloist.
ALVIN TOVSTOGRAY Joined the company in 2012 // Hometown: Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine
Alvin Tovstogray was born in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine. He began his training at the age of eight and in 2008 graduated from
Dnipropetrovsk State Choreographic School under Viacheslav Volkov. From 2008 to 2010, Mr. Tovstogray studied at San
Francisco Ballet School under Parrish Maynard and Jorge Esquel. He then spent two seasons with The Washington Ballet’s
StudioCompany. Alvin’s repertoire includes works by George Balanchine, Anthony Tudor, August Bournonville, Septime
Webre, Lucy Bowen McCauley, Margo Sappington, Matthew Neenan, and Artistic Director Robert Mills. Mr. Tovstogray
has recieved multiple awards at International Ballet competitions including third place at the Istanbul International Ballet
Competition (2010), Bronze medal at World Ballet Competition Orlando (2011), and Gold medal at Tanzolymp (2012).
Mr. Tovstogray joined the company in 2012 and was promoted to soloist in 2014.
