Also tights by Capezio, Danskin are easily found. Girls in Jazz-Ballet & Modern may wear black tights that are (either) ankle-length * or convertible-toe style if preferred. *Ballet shoes are pink ~ if using the footless tights, be prepared to wear barefoot in your shoes, or use a thin pale ink or white ankle sock with your shoes.…DO NOT use pink elastics or ribbons OVER black tights! Girls in Syllabus 2-3 should wear convertible-toe ballet tights. Girls in Syllabus 4 Seamed Convertible toe tights recommended. Capezio 9C (children sizes) or 9 (adult sizes) , Classical Pink or Body Wrappers C45 in Color BAT. Boys in all classes may wear Black leggings or "bike shorts" in place of men's tights. White socks. Ladies may choose to wear tights, leggings (etc) for classes. Performances may require specific tights; please ask in advance. Pointe students need convertible toe tights. some may prefer to dance barefooted, but it is not encouraged: a light ankle sock may be worn with footless tights instead. ☐ FOOTWEAR GUIDELINES: Girls & Ladies/Ballet Slippers PINK, good quality, professional ballet shoes are important. Proper fit is vital so please ask advice if needed. Please buy only real leather or canvas shoes. It's best to avoid stores with their "own brands": stay with recognized "ballet brands" for comfort and longevity! Young boys may order the same shoes as girls…in BLACK or WHITE. Demi-Pointe / Syllabus 4 class ~ Sansha DP are currently in use by this class: please check with director re: future orders in case the shoe should be changed to another maker. Pointe Shoes require Director's permission and must be pre-approved for style, fit (etc), before attending class. Tap Shoes: BLACK, Good quality shoe w/excellent tap sounds. Mary Jane buckle strap (girls) or Classic Oxford lace-up (Boys). Our preferred shoes: Grils & Ladies sizes: Bloch S0352 "Merry Jane" w/Techno Taps or S0350 extra-wide shoe.
