ASSISTANT FINANCE OFFICER PC07 Central Research Finance (CRF) Finance Department We are looking for a suitably qualified person to fill the above position as soon as possible. The main purpose of this post is to assist the management of CRF with the daily running of the unit, with the administration of government agency funds and with audit preparations and related queries. Responsibilities include: Income allocation and reconciliations. Review of selected transactions for compliance with funder and/or university requirements. Basic audit pack preparations and follow up of selected audit queries. Organising and servicing meetings. Daily office administration. Requirements include: A post- matric accounting/internal auditing diploma/certificate plus a minimum of three years’ relevant experience; OR a minimum of six years’ directly relevant experience. Excellent communication skills. Good computer literacy (MS Excel, MS Word, Email, internet etc.). Proven problem solving ability. Excellent organizing and time management skills. Accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and in a team. Relevant SAP or similar experience would be a distinct advantage. The annual cost of employment including benefits, is negotiable between R203 905 and R232 698 per annum.
