Nudity as a foreign, strange, wonderful, shameful and fascinating circumstance. And how a human
being is full of bewilderment, trying to make sense, living through situations one doesn't fully
comprehend or understand. A human being as a body of questions.
In Human Disguise is a successful merge of contemporary dance and theatre. A performance about
nudity and humanity. A human being as a strange anatomical animal, something we rarely see. In odd
positions, from odd viewpoints – as genuine as a Finnish sauna.

Eeva Muilu is a choreographer and a performer based in Helsinki. Her works have been performed
throughout Europe and Asia. Muilu has worked as house choreographer of Zodiak – Center for New
Dance in 2007-2009. In 2008, the Finnish Critics’ Association awarded her for the best artistic
breakthrough of the year.
Milja Sarkola works as artistic director of the Helsinki-based Theatre Takomo. Sarkola has written
and directed for Zodiak – Center for New Dance, Lilla Teatern and the City Theatre of Kajaani,
Finland.
In Human Disguise is continuation for the artistic cooperation of Eeva Muilu and Milja Sarkola:
Earlier, they have made the works Sold out (2007), choreographed by Eeva Muilu, and Mail to Eva
Dahlgren (2007), directed by Milja Sarkola.
