founded, our firm—
then just 29 years
old—signed up and welcomed this
new national trade association as
the standard-setter for the commercial side of our great hobby. In
the interim, the ASDA, in its 100
years, stabilized and helped build
philately into the treasured pastime
it has become. We are honored to be

ever held in New York City—including the very first ASDA National Postage

he newly formed Kelleher & Rogers Ltd

successfully conducted our inaugural sale on
September 26-28 in our new offices in Hong Kong in association with The Auction Gallery.
Laurence Gibson, co-director along with David
Coogle of the new firm commented. “The action on
the auction floor was, fortunately, much hotter than on
the street,” referring to the current events underway in
Hong Kong. “A pair of splendid, Small Dragon covers
purchased just four years ago at a major U.S. auction
for US $2,000 and $3,000 respectively (approx. $15,600
& 23,400 Hong Kong dollars), hammered for $100,000
and $150,000 Hong Kong dollars! The demand for better
stamps and postal history is just astounding.”
