Through our Teaching School Alliance we can provide access to a national network of outstanding schools providing individuals with a vast range of experiences, expertise and opportunities. Our Commitment We are committed to providing high quality teacher training opportunities across the region, working with lead professionals in high performing schools. We can offer a diverse range of school placements including special schools, selective schools and single sex schools. Across our partnership we can all offer training which is supported and accredited by Southampton University, our HEI partner. We can provide you with access to professional development beyond teacher training to include peer-to-peer learning, identifying and nurturing leadership potential for the future and supporting your career development through our network of excellent school partners. What will we provide you? Both routes will benefit from: - QTS and PGCE with 60 masters credits. - A school based experience in your main school. - A second placement school experience in a diverse setting. - Curriculum mentoring from a subject specialist in your host schools. - University subject days and quality assurance. - Equivalent of 60 days Training Activity. - Familiarisation sessions. School Direct Training Programme: High-quality graduates who want to be part of a school team from day one. You may be eligible for a bursary of up to £25,000 to support you while you train. There will be no additional training fees for trainees on this salaried route. School Direct Training Programme (salaried) is only for high quality graduates with at least three years’ work experience. Ideally suited, but not exclusively for career changers. This experience will normally have been gained since leaving university and does not have to be from an educational setting.
