A2 :Outcome at the end of the academic session
As routine work an orientation Programme was conducted for entire students of the
college. Many resource personalities were invited to the college on various occasions like
welcome function, farewell function, special seminars, etc to discuss about academic-related
matters and general matters. Conducted tests, seminars, Home assignments, mini projects,
group discussions, remedial classes on required subjects and examinations in accordance
with the internal calendar of events. The feed back from the students about the teachers, the
course curriculum, library and other infrastructure of the college. The teaching staff
members were permitted to participate in various conferences, workshops and seminars
conducted at various places. Committees were formed to ensure efficient functioning of the
college. A Health checkup camp for the students was conducted by a group of local doctors
in the month of January, 2010. NSS special camp was planned at Hanawal village months
of February, 2009 in order to help villagers troubled by flood under the guidance of the
Principal, the staff and the NSS officer. During this camp NSS volunteers helped the
villagers through. Extraordinary performances in the field of Sports, Cultural and other extra
curricular activities.
A proposal sent to UGC for including our college in 12 (B) & 2 (f) under UGC act 1956
through CDC Gulbarga university Gulbarga. Proposal was sent to Department and
university for the introduction of new course BA journalism. Connected the New LPG gas
pipe line system in the Chemistry lab Upgradation of
Physics and Computer science
laboratories is in progress. Perchached New Green glass board to the class rooms and
increased the number of Computer systems.

PART- B
1. Activities reflecting the Goals and Objectives of the Institution
The goal of the College is to imparting value based quality education to the youths of
gangavathi and neighbouring villages including Global Skills among the students.
Objectives of the college is providing its students intellectual skills in order to lead a quality life.
“Vision of the college is to provide good higher education to youth of this HyderabadKarnataka region and to extend Government facilities to the students of the college”.
“Mission of the college is to reinforce the academic performance of students and to
ensure higher education opportunity for all interested eligible rural stream,

about the morals of students & Lecturers, significance of social responsibilities of a
student towards nation & parents, the role of the students in building a good nation

Many lecturers have started using modern audio-visual in teaching. Tests, Seminars and
Group discussions were arranged to accelerate the academic performance of the students.

Inter-college level seminars were arranged for the students of different colleges situated
in this area during the month of January, second week.

Welcome, Farewell and annual day gathering are arranged to create a sense of "living
thoughtfully".

The college celebrates all national festivals and regional festivals to impart a sense of
"patriotism"

New equipments were purchased for Physics. New LPG collection was completed in the
chemistry laboratory.
8 .Campaign to create awareness among students on ANTI-TERRORISM as per the
direction of Government of Karnataka.

9 .At college level Elocution competation & Rangoli competations were held : 02.02.2009.
10. Gangavathi taluka level campaign and jatha was held and supervised by our college.

colleges in taluka have Participated. Jatha was
inaugurated by Honaurable MLA Sri Paranna munavalli.
11.Participated in District level campaign and jatha, starting from Gavimath Koppal on End to
District Ground.

University examinations as well as class tests for Internal assessment are conducted strictly
as per University guidelines. We are not at all liberty to implement any kind of examination
reforms.

Formed a Science forum in the name of “SCENCE” for conducting various science related
functions and seminars, All science faculties are the active members in this forum.

related functions and seminars, All Language faculties are the active members in this forum.
Formed a Management forum in the name of “ ” for conducting various Management related
functions and seminars, All Management faculties’ are the active members in this forum.
Every year, the IQAC members along with the senior faculty concerned with a particular
subject arranges class observation and micro-teaching programmes for some selected
teachers.

23. Courses in which students' assessment of teachers is introduced and action taken on
student's feedback.
Assessment of teachers by the students is conducted every year for all the courses and
reviewed by the concerned head of department and the principal. Based of this feedback,
some guest teachers were suggested to improve their teaching abilities.

Alumni association of the college provides useful suggestions about the Development of the
college.

Basavaraj Mulimani B.A II semester Student has awarding university blue in Ball
badminton.
College Kho Kho team Obtained First prise in University level competation held as VRET
B.P.ED college Raichur on 30,31 st December,2008.
B. Barsava B.A. student has awarded university blue in Kho Kho
Santosh K. and Nandini BA IV semester students choosed as Good Vally ball players in
Inter college meet at Raichur.

Sports shoes and Sports Blazers are provided by college CDC members.
Food and travel expenses, when the college team travelled out side Gangavathi, are born by
the college sports account.

Students have participated in university level and college level Compitation.
Anand and Nazir B.Sc. VI SEM students secured first prisze in Gulbarga university level
science exhibition compitation, held at Veerashaiva college, Bellary.
Anand and Nazir B.Sc. VI SEM students secured IIIrd prisze in State level science
exhibition compitation, held at KLE college, Belgaum.
36. Activities of guidance and counseling unit:
The Career Guidance Cell of the College provides necessary information about the career to
the students as and when the necessity arises. Career Guidance Workshops were arranged
for final semester students in the month of February, 2009.
37. Placement service provided to the students:
No particular placement cell has been established in the college. However, some students
have been appointed in cooperative banks on the advice of lecturers of this college.
38. Development programmes for Non-teaching staff:
The non-teaching staff was encouraged to learn computer operation & Internet browsing in
order to make efficient administrative correspondence.
39. Best practices of the institution:
a. College has set up committees to monitor overall progress of the students & Organizes
special lecturers on spirituality and morality.
b. NSS Unit holds regular camps.
c. Regular fresher day and farewell functions are arranged.

students.
e. The college encourages students to participate in various competitions.

awareness programmes, and literacy campaigns, adult education, legal and
environmental awareness, preservation of Historical monuments.
h. Remedial classes are conducted for slow learners, and SC / ST students.
i. Extra classes on English Grammar & Mathematics are conducted for academically poor
students.
j. Library keeps open for longer time during examination days. Many books
were
given to meritorious students & out-station students allowed stay in college during
examination.
k. Each department at least one programme for increasing students personality.
l. College totally try to turns towards e-facility.

Many staff members write books and articles. They take due care in preparing the students
to face the challenges of the present. Sometimes, lecturers feel that the semester system in
degree courses would hurdle the creativity of the students as there will be no sufficient time
for prescribed curriculum.

The following are the details of the plans in 2009-10
1. As usual, to conduct tests, seminars, home assignments, group discussions, remedial classes
on required subjects and preparatory examinations in accordance with the internal calendar of
events.
2. To provide computer for all departments of the college.
3. To arrange special lectures on various topics in the orientation programme to be held during
the second week of August, 2010 at our college.
4. To enforce the staff members to learn computer operation
5. To encourage the members of teaching staff to take up UGC minor research projects.
6. To start BA (JEP) ,BA (JEC ) courses.
