NOTICE INVITING TENDER NO. 10 OF 2014-2015 OF AE / BSD-III/PWD (Abridged)
Sealed tenders in printed form as specified are invited for the works from eligible tenderers as per
particulars given in the annexure. The tenders will be received by the Assistant Engineer / P.W.D.,
Berhampore Sub- Division No. III., on behalf of Governor of West Bengal. The eligible contractors shall
drop their tenders in the tender box kept at the chamber of the undersigned for this purpose up to time and
date Scheduled as follows and shall be opened thereafter in presence of the tenderers who may be present at
that time :-
i.
Contractors will have to produce original copies of credential and others necessary documents for
verification at the time of application. Labour Co-Operative Societies and Engineers Co-Operative
Societies will have to produce current audit report and bye Laws from ARCS as per rule. Besides
these, all the tenderers will have to produce documentary evidence in support of VAT, PT & Sale
Tax clearance certificate, Current IT return, PAN Card and Trade Licence for respective category of
works. Contractors have to deposit earnest money in the form of demand draft from Nationalised
Bank in favour of the Executive Engineer (P.W.D.) , Berhampore Division No. II.
ii.
Contractors are to be abided by the minimum wages Act of W. B. Govt. apprentices Act. (Act No.62
of 1961) or W.B. Govt. and the West Bengal Building and other construction workers welfare Cess
Act 1996 vide Board Labour Department notification No. 1182-IR dt.20-09-2005 read with Order
No. 853-F 01-02-2006. The Cost of Tender documents applicable as per G.O., and also read P.W.D.
CRC Branch Notification No.177-CRC/2M-57/2008 Dated 12.07.2012.
iii.
The intending tenderers should quote their rates in percentage above or below over the estimated
amount put to tender both in figure and words.
iv.
The payment and recovery will be made as per current PWD’s Schedule of Rates as applicable on
the date of publication of N.I.T.
v.
Contractors shall have to produce Credential in the form of payment certificate / completion
certificate issued by the tender accepting authority for work value not less than 40% of the estimated
amount put to tender in a single job of similar nature of work from any Govt., Semi-Govt.
Departments, and Board Corporation etc. executed within last 5 (five) years from the date of
invitation of the NIT.
vi.
Application if found incomplete in any respect will be rejected.
vii.
All the tenderers or his authorised representative are requested to be present at the time of opening of
the tender to attend table bid which may be conducted immediately after the opening of the tender
if the situation demands. No complain in this regard will be entertained afterwards.
viii.
The undersigned reserves the right to reject or accept any or all the applications / tenders
assigning any reason what so ever.

The rates quoted by the tenderers should be observed of all the criteria of West Bengal Sales Tax,
VAT and local taxes & royalty etc.
x.
Only one tender paper will be issued to an individual even if there are other firm of the proprietor.
xi.
Self attested photocopy of all relevant papers must be enclosed with application paper.
xii.
Tender will remain valid for a period of 120 days.
xiii.
Participant tenderers are requested to produce relevant documents(if not verified earlier) in original
for verification at the time of opening tender otherwise or failure to produce, the tender will be
rejected.
xiv.
Tender documents is to be downloaded from PWD’s website www.pwdwb.in.tender and in that case
intending tenderers are required to drop his tender along with all relevant documents as noted above
in the tender box and must produce all original documents at the time of opening of tender for
verification.
Payment will be made on availability of fund and no claim will be entertained for delay in payment.
[N.B.:- In case of any Bandh and undeclared holydays on the aforesaid dates, the next working
day will be treated as scheduled/prescribed date for the purpose]
