2014 Park Vista High School Homecoming Contract
The 2014 Park Vista High School Homecoming Dance will be held in the Park Vista Cafeteria on Saturday, October 25, 2014
from 7:30 – 11:30 PM. Your child may leave whenever they want, but there is no re-entry. We ask that you sign and return the
attached form at the time of ticket purchase. Every dance attendee and their parents/guardians must complete the form.
Homecoming dance doors open at 7:30 PM. Students will not be allowed in after 9:00 PM. Tickets are on sale online at
schoolcashonline.com and in the Student Activities Office October 6th – 22nd. The price of a ticket is $25.00 October 6th17th or $35.00 October 18th-22nd.
Requirements for purchasing a Homecoming ticket:
1. You cannot be on the obligation list.
2. You are not eligible to attend if you have received an out of school suspension during the 2014-2015 school year.
3. Juniors and seniors must have 20 hours of community service turned in and recorded with the school.
4. Seniors must have completed their online course graduation requirement.
Guest Expectations:
1. Dance attendees and their guest must be under the age of 21, elementary and middle school students may not
attend.
2. Students may bring non-Park Vista students to the dance as their date. They assume full responsibility for their guest’s
actions and will be required to leave with their guest if this visitor is removed from the dance.
3. Rules applying to Park Visa students regarding conduct also apply to their guest.
4. Park Vista High School administration reserves the right to refuse any individual. Administration will consider previous
disciplinary infractions and/or legal issues.
5. No one will be admitted to the dance who has not turned in a signed a contract when the homecoming ticket is
purchased. Do not have one guest sign a contract and then bring another to the homecoming dance. The guest will be
turned away.
6. All Park Vista guests must have a picture ID handed in with their Homecoming contract (showing a date of birth
and clear photo).
7. All students and their guests must have a photo ID and ticket with them in their possession at the dance check-in.
8. All dance attendees MUST be appropriately dressed. Please refer to the attached Park Vista High School
Homecoming Dance Dress Code.
Conduct:
1. Students and guests are expected to abide by the designated Homecoming Dress Code.
2. Students are expected to attend Homecoming drug-free, alcohol free and tobacco free. Upon arrival to the
Homecoming Dance, students and their guests will be given a breathalyzer test.
3. Anyone in attendance may be asked to empty his or her pockets or purse. Students and their guests are expected to
comply upon the request of school administrators. Anyone refusing such inspection will be asked to leave the dance.
4. Any vehicles, including limousines, can be searched at any time. All passengers may be held responsible and given
consequences for any illegal substance in the vehicle.
5. Anyone exhibiting unacceptable behavior as judged by a school administrator (fighting, smoking, inappropriate
language, etc.) will be asked to leave the dance. Refunds will not be issued for students or guests due to discipline
reasons.
6. Inappropriate dancing that is either provocative or sexually suggestive in nature will not be allowed. The discretion of
the school administrators will prevail. Students may be subject to disciplinary action, including dismissal from the
Homecoming Dance.
7. Any student or guest found to be in violation of school rules or any of the above mentioned policies will face
disciplinary action and will be excluded from future activities.
Violator’s Consequences:
If the above rules are violated, the following consequences will apply:
1. Park Vista students who violate the drug and alcohol policy will be removed from the dance. The students will be
disciplined or face disciplinary actions. Parents/Guardians will be called to pick up their child and guest within a
reasonable amount of time. Students in possession of illegal narcotics will be referred to the School Police.
2. Guests who are not Park Vista students, who violate the drug and alcohol policy, will be removed from the dance.
Parents/Guardians will be called to pick them up within a reasonable amount of time. Their schools will be notified.
Students in possession of illegal narcotics will be referred to the School Police. Students, whose guests were removed
from the dance, will have their parents/guardians called to pick them up from a waiting area.

The dance will be chaperoned by school administrators, school police officers and teachers. The pre-formal hours seem to be
when the most alcohol and drug related problems occur, resulting in inappropriate behavior and safety risks. We urge you to
monitor your son or daughter’s plans for the evening, both before and after the dance. If your child has plans to attend a dinner
and/or pre party, we suggest that you contact the host’s parents to confirm (1) that they know of this party; (2) that there will be
adult supervision and (3) that absolutely no alcohol or drugs will be consumed.
