WSBT Cold Hard Cash Contest Rules 1. No purchase necessary. Must be 18 years of age or older to enter. 2. How the contest works: A.) Viewers are asked to log on to wsbt.com or send in a postcard and guess when they think the temperature will first fall below zero. The temperature must fall below zero without wind chill. The low temperature must be below zero, i.e. not zero. The official temperature will be taken from South Bend International Airport. An entry day is from 12:00am to 11:59pm. If more than one contestant picks the winning day when the temperature falls below zero, without wind chill, a random drawing of those correct entries will be held. One (1) grand prize winner will be awarded $1000. Entry submission begins October 27th and ends December 5th or the first day temperature reaches below zero. Overall contest ends when the temperatures falls below zero and one (1) winner is selected. If the temperature has not fallen below zero before April 1st 2015, a random drawing of every entry will be conducted with one (1) winner selected to win $1,000 dollars. B.) Enter by visiting wsbt.com or by sending in a post card, attention Josh Taylor, to WSBT – 1301 East Douglas Rd., Mishawaka, IN 46545. 3.. WSBT, whose decisions are final, binding and conclusive on all matters will conduct the random drawing, if necessary. By entering this contest, entrants accept and agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of the judges relative to the contest. 4. In the event of non-compliance, an alternative winner may be selected. 5. Winner’s name & likeness may be used for publicity purposes without further compensation. 6. Employees of WSBT and their families, its subsidiaries, divisions and related companies, its promotional agencies and all participating promotional partners are not eligible. Employees or family members of Employees of local area media are not eligible to win or participate in this contest. Contest is open to South Bend Television DMA residents only. All others will be disqualified. 7. Taxes are the responsibility of the winner. Anyone receiving over $600 in cash and/or prizes will receive a 1099 form from WSBT in January. Winners must fill out a federal W9 form before they receive their prize. 8. WSBT reserves the right to settle all disputes and to change and alter the details of the contest as circumstances merit. 9. Winners will be notified by phone and/or email and must pick up their prize at WSBT – 1301 East Douglas Rd., Mishawaka, IN 46545 during regular business hours (M-F, 9AM-5PM).
