As We Gather for Worship This Week...
Altar Flowers are given to the glory of God by Cheryl Hoke and children in
memory of James Hoke.
Communion Elements are given to the glory of God by Cheryl Hoke and
children in memory of James Hoke.
Our Nursery is well-staffed and equipped to minister during both worship
services and Sunday School to children ages 5 years and under.
The Salisbury Colonnade provides an entrance at the back of the sanctuary
which worshipers are encouraged to use for access to the nursery and rest rooms
during services. Worshipers who have difficulty managing steps are also urged
to use the Colonnade entrance.
Celebration Sunday Worship and Pot-Luck Luncheon Today
Today we will pledge ourselves, our time, talents and resources in service to
God. Worship begins at 10:00 a.m. and Rev. James Graeser, Assistant to the
Bishop, Florida-Bahamas Synod will be preaching. Following worship, you
are invited to join us in the Hall of Memories for a celebration pot-luck
luncheon.
Reformation Sunday
Today is Reformation Sunday, the day on which we celebrate our Lutheran
heritage. As Lutherans, we celebrate Luther’s bold stance for the Scripture’s
clear message: God’s grace given for all as a free gift in Jesus Christ, not the
result of good works or religious rules or piety. On October 31, 1517, Rev. Dr.
Martin Luther posted the famous “95 Theses” on the church door in
Wittenberg, Germany and the Protestant Reformation was begun.

Volunteers Needed!
We are in need of volunteers for Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays in the Food
Pantry. We want to keep a minimum of five or maximum of six per day.
Please pray about this and let Tom Culverwell know that you wish to help out.
E-mail Tom at [email protected] or call his cell (904-254-0063). This is
a time of great uncertainly in His food pantry. There are changes afoot to both
the USDA program and the bulk purchase program. The food pantry depends
on these two programs for the bulk of the food distributed. We are hearing a
lot of speculation, but nothing concrete at this time. Please pray the we will
continue to be stocked, and that we all have patience during this time of
transition.
Help Needed at Trinity Food Pantry
Even if you can’t help on a regular basis, there are still things to be done in the
food pantry that don’t require a regular commitment of your time. For
example, every Monday we need help sorting and bagging a large shipment of
bread and baked goods. The 3-ring binders containing the USDA forms for
each client frequently need alphabetization and can be done sitting down. The
food pantry needs periodic cleaning and perhaps you can help with this.
Please see Tom Culverwell if you can help in the food pantry in any way. We
also desperately need paper and plastic bags, so please save yours and bring
them to the church whenever you can. Remember it is God’s food pantry, and
we all love to serve God, don’t we?
Thank You Coffee Hosts
There will be no coffee hour today. Hosts for next week’s coffee hour after
11:00 a.m. worship will be Maureen Onstott and Karen Kuebler.
