Seeking internist participants for Nov. 7 resident/student “speed dating”
We are piloting a new event to increase resident and student engagement at the 2014 Minnesota ACP
Annual Scientific Meeting called the Resident and Student Career Session. This fun, informal session will
be held from 3-4pm after the first round of posters have been presented. Our goal is to have a number of
practicing physicians from all over the state from various career paths in Internal Medicine (Metro/rural,
specialist/generalist, inpatient/outpatient, academics, etc) participate. We will have small tables and will
have "speed dating" sessions where residents and students will get to hear about what you do each day
and what you like and don't like about your current role. We are seeking people who would be
comfortable discussing (in general is fine without having to give too many specifics) the financial side of
your job as well. If you are interested in participating or have questions, please email Andrew Olson at
[email protected].
Minnesota Mental Health resource search engine available

that may be useful for internists and their patients. Its called Fast-Tracker and gives primary care
providers, care coordinators and patients a free, real-time, searchable directory of mental health
resources and their availability in Minnesota. This search tool provides: Up-to-date provider contact
information and availability: Access to referral resources; and Improved communications between primary
and specialty providers.Fast-TrackerMN.org is endorsed by Minnesota Psychiatric Society, the
Minnesota Society of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the Minnesota Psychological
Association, the Mental Health Association of Minnesota, the National Alliance on Mental
Illness Minnesota, and the Face It Foundation. For more information, email Fast-Tracker or call
