The contribution from ENA was received in a prior year; the grantee returned the funds when the grant could not be completed and ENA asked that we return the portion applicable to their prior donation. Directed Grants are under budget by $92,698, due to less than expected funding. Donations thru ACEP dues invoice is under budget by $11,630, due to less contributions given during renewal. Direct Mail donations underperformed projection by $15,313. Corporate, Practice Group and Foundation donations generated $56,155 more than budgeted. Special Events at ACEP13 generated $23,707 more than budgeted. Investment income is over budget YTD $28,107. The ACEP in‐kind contribution is higher than budgeted by $96,406 for activities related to ACEP13. Expenses were $93,121 favorable to the budget YTD primarily in these areas: Grants Awarded is under budget $149,125 as fewer grantees were identified than budgeted. Printing/photocopies exceeded budgeted amounts by $3,431 ‐ primarily due to 40th Anniversary Trailblazers magazine expense of $4,407 that was not budgeted. Facility & Equipment Rental are over budget $18,401 for activities at ACEP13. Meal Functions are over budget $6,241 due to having 400 attendees versus an anticipated 250 at the Chihuly event at ACEP 13. Professional Services and Postage is under budget by $37,265 – primarily due to more projects have been done by staff vs outsourced and more email campaigns were used. As states look for revenue, we are seeing the fees/state charity & registration line increase dramatically, we are over budget $4,648 ‐ we expect to remain over budget all year. Investment fees are over budget $6,759 as we have increased the funds under management. The ACEP contribution of labor is over budget $96,406 – this is offset by revenue. Member and Staff Travel is under budget by $20,226 – less travel than budgeted. YTD unrealized gain/ (loss) on Regular Portfolio Investment is $173,252. YTD unrealized gain/ (loss) on Endowment Portfolio is $152,859. CC: Dean Wilkerson, JD, MBA, CAE Cynthia Singh, MS Michele Byers, CAE Cathey Wise
