The wines run the whole range of the Valpolicella spectrum from the anything but basic Classico and Classico Superiore which establish a house style of vibrant, bright cherry fruit and ripe,

The Italian phrase "vino da meditazione" is very apt indeed.
Intensely perfumes with ﬂoral aromas of violets, wild roses, and vanilla. The palate is full-bodied, rich and sweet with velvety, warm tannins, chocolaty spice plum pudding fruit and fresh acidity.

The history of Vie can be traced back to the 19th Century, when Patriarch Mario Vie made the ﬁrst Vie wines, selling most of the produc'on to the local villages. The produc'on of quality
wines con'nued through the ﬁies, conﬁrming Vie 's posi'on as one of the top producers in Piedmont.
Vie was one of the ﬁrst Barolo wineries to export its products to the USA and was also one of the ﬁrst to select and vinify grapes from single vineyards.
Based in the small village of Cas'glione Falle2o, Vie ’s loca'on is very important to what makes this winery so special, and gives the wines their character. Cas'glione is sat more or less in the
middle of the four other key Barolo villages, and their southern facing vineyards seem to have all of the characteris'cs that made each of the other villages so famous.
This Moscato d'As' in the frizzante style has intense aromas of peaches, rose petals and ginger. On the palate it is delicately sweet and sparkling with modest acidity, good balance, good
complexity and a ﬁnish of fresh apricots.

Made by good friend Noel Young, he wrote: "The second release of the 'Mixed Thing', and stylis'cally this is exactly what we set out to make. The 2012 is a lovely wine but just bigger and deeper
than we had planned due to the vintage, this however is spot on. It's made predominantly from some lovely 50 year old Cinsault- 63%. The balance comes from the research sta'on vineyards in
Nuriootpa. 19% Sangiovese, 7.5% Dolce2o, 5.5% Tannat, 5% Ruby Cabernet. All co-fermented and pressed oﬀ skins early to make it more vibrant and have less tannin. It's made to be enjoyed
whilst young and juicy, and great served cool. Bright cherry, redcurrant and plum on the nose. Really fresh and crunchy on the palate with bright red and black cherry, raspberry too, a touch of
spice and so tannins, the fruit is sweet but there is an appealing savoury character too. Aged in old barrels, so no oak inﬂuence. Just under 13.5% alcohol and a really versa'le red. Drink over
the next 24 months."

previous releases, we really wanted the fruit to sing, so all in 1 year old and older French, American and Russian oak. 100% Grenache, it did not need any Shiraz. Bright berry fruits on the nose
with black cherry, spice and some mocha oak characters. S'll very much in the style, it's not a big wine but has lovely sweet berry fruit, spice some integrated oak and ripe tannins, really vibrant
yet, so long and complex with an underlying savoury character. It's hugely appealing and very food friendly, tonight with some amazing burgers, but also works well with spicy dishes and of
course mediterrraean styled cuisine. Drink now-2016"

Mount Etna and its rumbling mouth, explosive and eﬀusive, sits astride two tectonic plates. Africa and Eurasia rub together and we see the result; monster tongues of lava and clouds of smoke
and ash. The surrounding soil is unsurprisingly young and fer'le and home to the white grape Carricante - the main varietal in Etna Bianco.
The wine is elusive and delicious. Citrus oil (lime), cut fennel and something salted and woody. Thyme and sap perhaps, aniseed and almond meal. The ﬁrst mouth is like a shot of Fino sherry salted and bruised, oxida've and ﬂor like. It's waxy and nu2y with aldehydes (or at least it tastes this way). . . Gripping and chewy (which is a li2le unusual for a white), seams of texture with a
s'ng of acid and a splash of ocean.

Having begun his career as an engineer, designing parts for Formula One racing cars, Simon planted six hectares of predominantly Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc at Stopham Estate, near Pulborough,
in West Sussex, in 2007.
The main challenges in the vineyard are deer which roam the parkland (meaning Simon’s ﬁrst job was to fence the vineyard to protect the vines from damage) and, unsurprisingly, the weather.
Simon prac'ses sustainable farming. This is helped by the southfacing vineyards, which maximise sun exposure and ripening, as well as the proximity of the Stopham farm animals, which provide
copious amounts of organic fer'liser to boost the sandy soils! Grapes were harvested by hand. Orchard pear on the nose with pink grapefruit, melon and sweet fennel on the palate. Juicy acidity
balanced by succulent sweetness which lasts well onto the lengthy ﬁnish.
