OUR SPEAKER
Darcel Reyes, RN, MS, PhD (c) is a nurse practitioner
who specializes in the care of people living with HIV
(PLWH) and the homeless. She has presented
nationwide on health literacy and cultural competence.
Ms. Reyes has published on a variety of topics including
health literacy, treatment of anxiety in PLWH, and the
importance of nursing theory to the provision of patient
care.
The Jonas Center for Nursing Excellence named Ms.
Reyes a Jonas Nurse Scholar in 2010 and then again in
2012. She is presently on the faculty at Rutgers
University School of Nursing.

of ANAC and the NY/NJ AIDS Education & Training
Center. There are no CME or nursing continuing
education credits available.
