This free Mandarin workshop for ESL students and
their parents on coping strategies in acquiring
English. The workshop helps new Chinese
immigrant students and their parents with coping
strategies in acquiring English, in order to have a
successful transitions from Chinese to English, from
China to Canada.
To qualify for this training,
you must be:
-Unemployed and not in
receipt of EI in the past
three years
-Canadian citizen or
permanent resident
-Living in BC
-Not a student
-Not currently participating
in another ESA program
VCC is currently recruiting for the Introduction to
Culinary Skills Program funded through the Ministry
of Jobs, Tourism and Skills Training. This program is
designed to prepare students from entry level
cooking positions in local cafes, diners, restaurants,
hotels and kitchens in the health care, private and
non-profit sector.

employers as registered apprentices and be able to
