Nurmi 6 May 2015 GTK's changing role in mineral exploration • One of the main duties of GTK is to promote exploration and mining in Finland. => INVEST IN FINLAND! • GTK is responsible for national geoscientific mapping and the data which is available in digital form, or as maps, reports and publications. => PUBLIC NATIONAL DATA CENTER • GTK's role is to explore and model main geological units and their ore potential. All discoveries are tendered to the private sector through the Ministry. => NEW INFORMATION ON MINERAL POTENTIAL • Emphasis in the new strategy is to model important belts and leave detailed exploration for companies KOHONEN 30.5.2011 / GIC-26 GTK’s RDI promotes Green Mining P.A.
