The total number of 90s stored at the time of writing equated to 12 of which 11 of these are owned outright by DBS. Past News - Stored 90050 Crewe LNWR (Updated 21/10/14) In early August 2012 90050, which was owned by DB Schenker and had been in store at Crewe since December 2004 following fire damage at Coventry was purchased by Crewe LNWR. The main purpose for 90050 transferring ownership is so as she can donate a number of parts to other class 90s including bogies. At the time of writing I am unable to confirm what will happen to this loco in the coming weeks and months, but for now she is safe from being cut up. There is a possibility that this 90 could be used as a static display at some point in the future and this can’t be ruled out, but this is just one of a number of outcomes for this last class 90 to be built and outshopped by BREL at Crewe Works in 1990. Further updates to this fact sheet will be made in due course notably for 90050 – if you have any questions or suggestions etc in the meantime, then please do not hesitate to contact me via email at [email protected]
