From pioneering a revolutionary process for bending wood to make wagon wheels, Nidecker today has evolved that innovation to make the best snowboards and stand up paddle boards in the world. Nidecker continues to strive for excellence in 2014 with the global licensing roll-out of NDK. T H E N I D E C K E R S T O RY the evolution 1912 1982 Nidecker uses its knowledge of bending wood to begin manufacturing skis. Nidecker is at the forefront of an exciting new sport: the Monoski! 1986 Nidecker creates it’s first professional snowboard team, which proceeds to win the Alpine World Cup. 2004 2010 2014 Nidecker creates NDK! Nidecker joins forces with professional rider Jeremy Jones to create a new freeride brand called Jones Snowboards. Nidecker launches NDK global licensing program. 1887 1963 1984 1991 2009 2012 Nidecker founded in Etoy, Switzerland. It specializes in bending wood, and sells mostly wooden wheels. Nidecker produces its first fibreglass skis. After years of development, Nidecker produces its first 50 snowboards. Nidecker rides the wave and begins to manufacture wakeboards! Nidecker partners with professional riders Romain de Marchi, DCP, and JP Solberg to create a new brand called YES Snowboards. Nidecker partners with Laird Hamilton for Stand Up Paddle. Alone this was impossible, so Nidecker partnered withlegends and global icons in a mission to evolve and create the future of Snowboarding. Nidecker holds licenses for several of the world’s most iconic action sports figures like Jones Snowboards, YES Snowboards, Slash Snowboards and NOW Bindings. Each license is backed by leaders of industry, positioning Nidecker as a global powerhouse. With over 2000 active accounts and 75 global distributors, Nidecker has become a dominant force in Snowboarding worldwide. Laird StandUp is the perfect combination of a true icon in the sport, together with Nidecker’s technical and design innovation.
