New Product Competition
The annual Kosherfest New Product competition names the best new retail and foodservice
kosher products of the year.
Exhibitors may enter new products introduced within the last year that will be displayed
in their booth at Kosherfest 2014. The Kosherfest New Product Competition is open to
EXHIBITORS and CO-EXHIBITORS ONLY.
The 2014 Competition takes place on October 30, 2014.
Entries MUST be received no later than Wednesday, October 22. Actual product for the
judging MUST be received no later than 4pm on Friday, October 24.
The competition takes place weeks before Kosherfest, where a distinguished jury of kosher
retail and foodservice buyers, distributors, chefs and industry experts, sample products
across 16 categories.

◆ Savory Condiments, Spices, Sauces, ◆ Meats, Seafood or Poultry
◆ Frozen Entrees (Pizza, TV Dinners, etc.)
◆ Desserts, Baked Goods, and Sweet Snacks
◆ Cheese or Dairy
◆ Giftware & Novelties
◆ Deli Meats
◆ Candy
◆ Pastas, Rice, Beans or Soups
◆ Kosher for Passover (mock ups/prototypes are allowed for this category only)
◆ Breads, Grains, Cereals and Crackers
Oils, Vinegars, Dressings and Marinades
◆ Jams and Preserves
◆ Dips, Spreads and Salsa
They judge one category at a time and assess all of the products in each category taking into
account quality, uniqueness, salability, packaging, price and merchandisibility. A team of staff
and a chef prepare the products, and the judges vote for the winners after tasting them. The
products with the most votes become the winners.

Exhibitors entering a new product must select a category for the product to be considered in.
A product may not be entered in more than one category. However, judges have the sole
authority to move products between categories as they feel appropriate based on their
industry knowledge; they may also add categories, and may include a product in more than
one category. Products submitted MUST be certified kosher, and companies must designate
which certification with entry. Judges may not to give an award in every category.
Companies may enter up to three products each.
Price: First product entry is FREE!
Second & Third products are $75 each

New Product Showcase
Is your company featuring a new product or service at the Kosherfest? Make sure all
attendees know about it by including it in the New Product Showcase located prominently
in the registration area just outside the show entrance.
Each product entered receives a space within a display case for the product (non-perishable
versions only - perishable products must either use a photo or a mock up of the product)
and signage identifying your product, company and booth number. Exhibitors also receive
pre-show press and social media exposure of entered products, and a product listing on the
New Product page of www.kosherfest.com.
Showcase displays for Winners of the Kosherfest New Product Competition are automatically
included and required (at no charge).
Price: For non-winners of the competition or non-competitors: $100 per product
Companies may enter up to three products each in the show case
(aside from any products that may be in the Winners section).

All Kosherfest exhibitors will be supplied with printed passes (sent via mail beginning in
August). Exhibitors can use these passes for qualified trade industry attendees to register to
attend for free. The quantity of printed passes mailed to exhibitors is based on booth size as
follows – additional printed passes are not available beyond this supply:
20’ x 20’ or larger = 30 | 10’ x 20’ = 20 | 10’ x 30’ = 30 | 10’ x 10’ = 10 | Tabletop Booths = 5
Copies of VIP passes will not be accepted, original ticket must be used. VIP Passes are NOT to be used to register
booth staff, family guests or friends, or other non-qualified attendees. ALL VIP passes must be used to register BEFORE
November 10, 2014 – VIP PASSES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED FOR REGISTRATIONS ON SHOW DAYS/AT THE SHOW.

All Kosherfest exhibitors will be emailed a special unique URL (beginning in August) to use
to register or invite qualified kosher trade buyers to register to attend for free. Exhibitor VIP
links will be pre-loaded with your allotted number of passes, based on booth size as follows –
