November 1 – December 1 Let's celebrate in welcoming little Liam to the world by showering the Bauer family with meals! Please log on to: www.takethemameal.com and type “Bauer” in the recipient name search box and then the password “The Bridge” to sign up to deliver a meal to parents Andrew and Lauren, and 5 year old daughter, Addie! Addie has sensitivities to gluten and dairy so if you can be mindful of this when creating meals that would be good. But meats and veggies are great! If you are not able to bring meals that are gluten or dairy free, no worries. Bring what you can and Lauren said that she can make something for the little one. Once you have logged in, you will see the address and directions of how to get to the Bauer’s home. The Bauer family resides on the Hickam AFB side of Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam so volunteers WILL need access on to the base with a military ID or sponsored guest pass. If you would like to bring the family a meal and don’t have an ID or pass, let Donna Rogers (407) 600-5121, know and she can either drive you on, sponsor you with a pass, or meet you at the front gate's visitor center to pick up the meal for you. Thanks, everyone! October 22, 2014 The Bridge Church Newsletter Building strong, healthy bridges -- first to God and then to the world. We are grateful for the people who gave through the Envelope Endeavor to help our teens go to Nazarene Youth Conference 2015. God will use what you’ve given to build into the lives of these young kingdom workers! There are only 28 more envelopes so please join us in praying that the remaining envelopes will be taken. For those who still plan to donate, please write your name on the inside flap of the envelope or write “Envelope Endeavor” on your check so you will get a tax credit. Most importantly, please continue to pray for our teens as they prepare to go on this life-changing event! Parents, each month we give children bible verses to be memorized by the third Sunday of the month. They receive a prize if they can recite the verse by memory. Please practice these verses at home with your children and memorize them together: Preschool: “The Lord our God is near us every time we pray to Him.” (Deut. 4:7) K-1st: “I call on You, my God, for You will answer me; turn Your ear to me and hear my prayer.” (Psalm 17:6) 2nd-3rd: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.” (Matthew 6:9-13) 4th-5th: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7) Bible verses for October October 22, 2014 The Bridge Church Newsletter Building strong, healthy bridges -- first to God and then to the world.
