Driving Out
Hunger!
The 16th Annual Bridge Church Canned Food Drive
has begun and will run through to December 15. Our
goal is to collect 5,000 cans of food and
nonperishable items to help feed the hungry (via the
Hawaii Foodbank and also needy families in our
community.)
All church members are encouraged to start bringing
their donations into church beginning this Sunday
and lay them by the altar. Also, please write down
the number of cans you donate on the tally sheet at
the welcome table.
Pastor Gordon Wong – our maestro of meals and guru
of gastronomy – will personally cook a gourmet meal
for the top five contributors!
In addition, please ask for pledges from your family
and friends of one penny per can that we collect.
The money collected from the pledges will go to
help defray the cost of our teens attending
Nazarene Youth Conference 2015.

Children, you are encouraged to come to Rally Day dressed up in a
costume, but just make sure the costume is not evil or scary. We
will have fun, Christ-centered activities during our rally!

Mahalo to everyone who picked up a
shoebox on Sunday. Special thanks to the Antonius ohana for not only providing the
shoeboxes, but also all the items to help us get started filling our shoeboxes! Please pack
your shoeboxes for needy kids around the world! You can start bringing them to
church right away and we will send them out to the distribution center.

Repentance Is a Gift from God
2 Timothy 2:22-26
1. Approach the throne of God humbly and thank Him for His gift of repentance.
2. Repent for the times you have treated the gift of repentance lightly and not acknowledged
God’s grace.
3. Ask God to stir a heart of repentance in you.
4. If you are willing, consecrate your life to the Lord now, committing the rest of your life to
Him for his glory and asking for His Holy Spirit to completely fill you and cleanse your
life from sin.
5. Pray that the message of repentance will be spoken at The Bridge Church with grace and
mercy – but without compromise. Pray for Pastor Gordon as he delivers each sermon.
6. Ask the Lord to free people in your life from Satan’s trap, and then lead them into the gift
of repentance. Pray this specifically for yourself, your family members, friends, neighbors
and co-workers or fellow students.
7. Pray for each person who comes through the doors of the Bridge to come to repentance.
May each one sense the immense love and power of the Holy Spirit through the singing,
the sermon and through each person with whom they come in contact.
8. Pray for the Holy Spirit to give an ongoing gift of repentance to leaders in your church.
Lift up Pastor Gordon, Pastor Javier, Pastor Mel, Pastor Mendel, Chaps (Brian) and Tuan.
9. Lift up each ministry of the Bridge Church: MOB, GEMS, Teens, Children and Pier
Groups.
10. Ask God to bless and draw close each one who takes part in Worship each Sunday:
those up front, those working behind the scenes, and the congregation. May we be in
awe of God’s Holy presence!
11. Pray for the city of Honolulu to be redeemed and restored through an outpouring of
God’s gift of repentance.
12. Pray for persecuted Christians around the world and today specifically in China. Did you
know that in a northwest province of China, the local government can arrest a Christian
if three people claim that they tried to witness to them? The prison sentence can be
two years long. Pray for protection, safety and boldness for these precious believers.

We are grateful for the people who gave through the Envelope Endeavor to help these teens go to Nazarene Youth Conference
2015. God will use what you’ve given to build into the lives of these young kingdom workers! There are still 30 more
envelopes so please join us in praying that the remaining envelopes will be taken. For those who still plan to donate, please
write your name on the inside flap of the
envelope or write
“Envelope Endeavor”
on your check so
you will get a tax
credit.
Most importantly,
please continue to
pray for our teens
as they prepare
to go on this
life-changing
event!

Parents, each month we give children bible verses to be memorized by the third
Sunday of the month. They receive a prize if they can recite the verse by memory.
Please practice these verses at home with your children and memorize them together:
Preschool: “The Lord our God is near us every time we pray to Him.” (Deut. 4:7)
K-1st: “I call on You, my God, for You will answer me; turn Your ear to me and hear
my prayer.” (Psalm 17:6)
2nd-3rd: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come, Your
will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive
us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the
glory forever. Amen.” (Matthew 6:9-13)
4th-5th: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and
petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God,
which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ
Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)
