Sizing of the connection cable and the electric installation must be performed by an authorised electrician. Installing the central room thermostat (figure 4) The electric boiler can be equipped with a room thermostat which is placed a room where you want to control the temperature for the entire building. The thermostat is controlling the boiler’s operation by breaking the current to the circulation pump, when desired room temperature is reached. Thermostat, product ID’s: 20210-3 or 67260 are suitable for this control. Figure 4. Connection of room thermostat Installing the electric boiler The electric boiler has a rail of metal on the back for a simple installation. Mount the enclosed consol at the wall with a suitable screw. For the smallest free distance around the boiler (see figure 2). Figure 2. Free distance around the electric boiler 2 (4) Figure 3. When the voltage comes back above 180 V again, the heater starts and the indicator light goes off. 9 6 Overheating protection (4) ensures that the water never boils by triggering a fuse for the heater. The fuse must be reset manually. 2 1 3 Figure 5. Electric boiler's control panel. Dimensions Control panel The electric boiler's control panel contains the following: E 50 D 1. Thermometer and manometer for temperature and pressure in the boiler. 2. Thermostat B 3. ON/OFF buttons for heating stages 2 and 3. 4. Protection against overheating. Shuts off at about 100ºC. A 5. By setting switch (6) to the ON position, the electric boiler and heating stage 1 are activated. Switch (3) is used to allow the start of heating stages 2 and 3, but also to switch off the same stages during operation. Using the thermostat knob (2) on the electric boiler's control panel you can set a specific temperature which the electric boiler will endeavour to maintain all the time. The temperature can be set between 20ºC and 90ºC. The recommended setting is 60ºC which is when the mark on the knob is at 12 o'clock. Figure 6. Dimensions.
