Dr. Ajorlou defended his Ph.D. dissertation Connectivity Preservation in Distributed Control of Multi-Agent Systems under the supervision of Dr. Amir Aghdam from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. His doctoral research has resulted in new understanding of the role of the connectivity of the agents in a system and the development of a novel and practical control strategy which is more effective than any other solution currently available to the network connectivity problem. His control design technique is highly unique within the field and is the best method, to date, for maintaining the connectivity in control of multiagent systems. Dr. Ajorlou is a recipient of a NSERC Postdoctoral Fellowship and is continuing his research at the University of Pennsylvania, where he has taken up a postdoctoral position.
