School Concert Update
Lead characters and all instrumentalists
will need to be at school no later than
5.45pm. The make-up studio and
dressing rooms will be in the staff room.
All other students will need to be at
school no later than 6.15pm. They should come dressed in their black clothing and their
head gear will be put on at school. On arrival, these students should meet in their
classroom and have their names marked on the roll.
Students need to be in attendance both nights and they must stay for the duration of the
concert as everyone is in the finale. All students will return to their classrooms after the
concert and parents can pick them up from there. We need to cross their names off the
roll so that we know where everyone is and that everyone has been accounted for. We
estimate that children will be ready for pick up by 8.15pm.
We would like the audience to be in and seated by 6.25pm please.

SPRING FAIR UPDATE ... GOOD GOLLY - ONLY 10 DAYS TO GO!
Please could all families send raffle tickets and money back by this Friday. This is really important so that
we can account for all tickets and get them folded ready for the draw. Thanks to all those who have
already returned them and good luck to everyone who bought tickets.
Thanks to Robyn Ryan for her fabulous work with the plant stall and her pre-fair sale. Robyn has Asian
greens, salad and veggies available right now, so you don't have to wait until the fair to get a quality
bargain.
Thanks to Amanda Pearson for organising the Main Street banner which looks brilliant.
We have Dragonfly Entertainment bringing big bouncy equipment (gladiator plus super bounce) for the
older kids through to adults and also the Rotary jumping castle for the smaller kids! Thanks to Erin
Anderson for organising pony rides! and don't forget the photo booth for a bundle of memorable pics.
The Lions Train will be back too, so loads of fun options for all the family. Tell your friends!
Thank you to all the very generous businesses in Narrandera who are donating cash towards the major
raffle prizes and wonderful vouchers for chocolate wheel prize draws. A full list will be in next week's
newsletter. Remember it is great to support those who support us.
WE NEED HELP:
1. Please, volunteers to man the calendar stall. Kate Hall is doing the prep, all you would need to do is
show the artwork and take the orders. We can do rosters so no one gets stuck with a job.
2. Please, some Year 6 volunteers to man the book stall. All books will be on sale at 50c each! Again
we'd like to roster them in 30 minute sessions, so please let Helen Ryan or Heather Ostler know.
3. Please, some helpers for selling major raffle tickets on the day. We should be able to do 30 minute
shifts if enough people can put their hand up.
4. Please, general support helpers that can cover a stall for short food, drink, toilet breaks.
Remembering that all the proceeds from the Spring Fair go towards improved opportunities for all the
children, please try to give as much help as you can to the small committee. If you can give 30 minutes
on the day it would be a tremendous
help. Any potential helpers, please call
Helen on 0407 223 316.
CAKE STALL
A big thank you to everyone who donated last year to our stall. We have 2 weeks for all the master
chefs and bakers out there to think of what they could cook for the cake stall.
The ideas are endless. Cakes, quiches, lasagne, tea cakes, honey joys, chocolate cakes(best sellers),
toffees, cup cakes, brownies, jams, pickles, chilli sauces, cakes, anything gluten free (sells very quick). If
you’re not into cooking maybe you could donate eggs, fresh fruit & veg to sell on the day.
Although not compulsory labels are handy to inform customers of the type of cake and what ingredients
have been use. We have a simple tick the box label that can be pick up from the school office.
For all cake stall donations please drop off on the morning of the spring fair before 9.45am at the cake
stall. We will be located near the front office. If this is not possible goods can be left at the office during
the week.
A big thank you to Zarah Curtis who is donating two cakes this year for our raffle. Gravity cake and
Fantail cake.
Thank you for all of the parents that are donating and remember that it is not too late to bake.
Any questions give us a call,

Catholic Schools Basketball Challenge Wollongong
Catholic Schools Basketball is over for
another year, with a great weekend
had by children and parents.
Congratulations must go to the four
schools from the Illawarra region who
ran the weekend as it would be a
logistical nightmare with around 130
teams participating over 4 stadiums.
We would like to thank everyone who
contributed in any way to make it
possible for our school to attend this
weekend. Heather in the office, Mrs
O’Brien and Mrs O’Mahoney for the
articles in the newsletters, registering our teams and collecting the money etc. A special
thanks to Mrs O’Mahoney for being the school
representative at the meeting and the mass on
Saturday night in Shellharbour.
To the teams’ coaches, James Trengrove, Col
Longford, Lexie and Cassie White, Toni Kerr and
John Hugo. Without these people this weekend
would not be possible.
Managers, Maree Johnson, Hayley Winnel, Bella
O’Mahoney, Jillian Robinson and Bridey Hugo.
To all the parents who make the huge
commitment to get their children to
training every week and take them away
for the weekend. We are sure that to
witness the development and the fun that
the children have makes everyone think it
is worthwhile.

Catholic Schools Basketball Challenge Wollongong
To Mandy Pearsons’ mother Mrs Jan
Rogers who was our schools referee for
the weekend. In an amazing effort Jan
refereed 16 games over the weekend.
We are very lucky to have someone
with so much experience willing to help
us out.
Both our junior boys teams only had 5
players for the weekend. So with no
subs the boys did a great job, with one
side being knocked out in the semi final
of division 3 and the other side winning
the grand final in div 3. This side
consisted of James Kerr, Blair
Robinson, Liam Mathieson,
Jarrod Craze and Lachlan Kerr.
Coach Toni Kerr.
Next year’s Catholic Schools
Basketball Challenge will be held
in Albury. We will look at
booking some accommodation
in the next few days.
Catholic Schools Basketball is all
about participation, having fun
and being a good sport.
Congratulations must go to
every student who played on the
weekend because this was
exactly what they all did. They all
represented our school in a fantastic
way that is a credit to themselves and
their parents. St Joseph’s Narrandera
has a great reputation when it comes
to this basketball challenge and that
will certainly continue after this
weekend.
