IPCSA is holding its inaugral Research Committee "Future Challenges and Opportunities for Port
Community Systems" on 13th November in Le Havre, France.
The meeting will look at what future challenges and opportunites PCS face. There will be a number of
speakers from European and International organisations including the International Network of Customs
Universities. These speakers will look at existing research and will be providing an insi ght into the
latest areas that are currently under research and the impact that has on the future of Trade Facilitation.
The purpose of the meeting is to have an open discussion between experts in the field of Port
Community Systems and to review and understand how Port Community Systems wi ll be involved in the
ever changing environment of Trade Facilitation and the electronic exchange of information.
The meeting is open to I PCSA members and to universities and other academic institutions with an
interest in Port Community Systems.

Travelling to Le Havre is relatively easy as it has good train connections from Paris
Train – There are regular trains from Paris to Le Havre that take about 2 hrs. The connection is from Paris
