Each beneficiary will be assigned a qualified mentor who will work with them to agree progression routes and provide support for personal/social issues. Beneficiaries will also have access to a “hands on” 6 week work placement in areas of interest such as coaching, teaching, cooking, sports, environmental work, media, admin, etc. They will also have the opportunity to create a video CV to send to prospective employers. All users will have access to voluntary work in any of the 4 key partnerships of GHoPA, YMCA, Harbour Place or Shalom. They will learn invaluable new team working and social and training skills and will also be offered a free DBS check where appropriate. Throughout the lifetime of the project, all users will have options to access further training through support partners CERT and Nunsthorpe Community Centre who offer basic skills CV writing, interview techniques, job search etc. Referral Details For all referrals please contact Sean Snelson by email at [email protected] or phone 01472 359701. About Talent Match Humber: Talent Match Humber is a project for young people designed by young people, with the aim of helping those aged 18-24, long term unemployed, who are struggling the most to find career opportunities. All Talent Match Humber projects include high quality IAG and “wraparound” support to help you overcome any barriers to employment, such as debt issues, health problems, housing issues etc.
