Our Success Factors
Background
• Current Electronic WITS and Staff Suggestion System
(EWSS) was first developed in 1999 and have been in
use up till 2010 on the current Lotus Notes (LN) platform.
• MOE IDEAS Bank (MIB) is rolled in to replace the current
Electronic WITs and Staff Suggestion System (EWSS).
• This also gives us the opportunity to streamline the
routing and approval process.

Our Success Factors
Aims
• System is designed with simplicity in mind and to
make it more convenient for staff to submit
suggestions
– Teachers can access the system via internet.
• System is designed to become a platform for sharing of
innovative ideas
– Ability to see what others have suggested (and build upon
them)

How to Login?
http://ideas.moe.gov.sg
Your Login ID is your NRIC (e.g.
S1234567B, case insensitive).
Your first time password is set to
your birth date, in ddmmyyyy
format.
If you have forgotten your
password, click on the link and
MOE IDEAS Bank will reset your
password to eight randomly
generated alphanumeric
characters. If you cannot
receive your password over your
email, it is plausible that your
email address in MOE IDEAS
Bank is incorrectly entered.
Check with your School
Administrator.

After logging in, you should be able to see
Five panels in your home page:
• [My Suggestions]
• [Announcements]
• [Suggestions From]
• [My Profile]
• [Set Password]
New suggestions can either be saved (and
mulled over), or submitted to your MOE
IDEAS Bank Coordinator under [My
Suggestions] Panel.

[Home] – Submit and manage your suggestions (1/2)
To submit a new suggestion, you will have to fill
up the following fields
• Title
• Content of the suggestion
• Category (Select A Category from the list)
• Cost Savings (Optional)
• Implement Date (Optional)
• Contributors involved for the Suggestion
• Upload attachments (Optional)
You can choose to
• Click on SUBMIT button to submit the
suggestion or
• Click on SAVE NEW button to save the
suggestion and edit the contents accordingly at
a later date.
• An email notification will be sent to all
Suggestors and the respective School
Coordinators.

[Home] – Submit and manage your suggestions (2/2)
You can browse previously
submitted suggestions under MY
SUGGESTIONS, click on the
suggestion to view the contents.
Click on “My suggestions report”
to download report in excel.
Under Unsubmitted suggestions
and Entry of New Suggestions,
You can click on the Saved
Suggestion(s), edit the contents
accordingly and submit.
Please note that you should receive
email notification whenever there is
change to your suggestion status.
(e.g. Suggestion Accepted,
Rejected, KIV, Escalated)

“Suggestion From” indicates the total number of
suggestions submitted by your fellow School
colleagues and yourself.

You can edit Name, Display Name and eMail
accordingly under [My PROFILE].
The Display Name is for the system to address
you for any email correspondence.
New password with at least 6 characters can be
set under [Set Password].

Under [INBOX], click on the
suggestion with “Sealed
envelope” icon
The details of the
suggestion will be expanded
as shown on the right.
Click on the Inbox Message
to open the suggestions as
shown in following slide.

School Users can only search and view
suggestions raised within the school.
Search Parameters
Input the keywords and/or select from the
dropdown fields to search for submitted
suggestions.
