• Reasoning in humanities and social sciences
• Hardest section to study for
• 10 minutes reading + 100 minutes writing
time for 75 questions
• 80 seconds per question!

The following passage is taken from William Shakespeare's
"Julius Caesar", Act III Scene 2.
•
Romans, countrymen, and lovers! hear me for my
cause, and be silent, that you may hear: believe me
for mine honour, and have respect to mine honour, that
you may believe: censure me in your wisdom, and
awake your senses, that you may the better judge.
If there be any in this assembly, any dear friend of
Caesar's, to him I say, that Brutus' love to Caesar
was no less than his. If then that friend demand
why Brutus rose against Caesar, this is my answer:-Not that I loved Caesar less, but that I loved
Rome more. Had you rather Caesar were living and
die all slaves, than that Caesar were dead, to live
all free men? As Caesar loved me, I weep for him;

Prep courses
• Many of them and very expensive
• Ask around – some are a lot better than
others
• Can always buy the books second hand
• Not the end of the world if you can’t afford it
– plenty of people do well without them
Final words
• Motivation and attitude is everything
• Start studying from the start of December –
sacrifice summer
• Don’t overdo it – last thing you want is to burn
out by May.
• All that hard work will make it all the more
sweeter when you get your offer
