• Madrid has numbers of malls and shopping centers throughout the city.
• Madrid in itself is one big shopping center because it is very easy to find a
shop on every street and corner.
• Madrid is known for its family-run small shops that specialize from
children to women to men.
• Barcelona and Madrid have always been each others competition to be
Spain’s fashion capital. Barcelona was always on top, but Madrid is now
catching up.

BOUTIQUES
• Chanel Boutique: You can find elegant and comfortable women’s
Chanel clothing. They carry items such as dresses, slacks, suits,
perfumes, and men’s accessories.
• Agatha Ruiz de la Prada: One of Spain’s most famous and bold
designers. Most successful in children’s ware and home ware. This
designer has been popular since the eighties.
• Chucu Chu: This boutique is known for their quality and style of
clothes. Their clothing specializes from infants and children up to age
25.
• Custo: Started to become famous for their bright and funky clothing.
They now carry denim, dresses, skirts, coats and menswear. They are
most popular for young adults in their twenties and thirties.

• Skinny trousers with wedged or flat high boots are a popular chic look
during winter.

• IED Madrid Moda Lab School offers courses in Fashion Design, Fashion
Accessories Design, Fashion and Textile Design, Fashion and Styling and
Creative Fashion Management.
