An ICT Technician and Support Assistant post has become available due to the retirement of the current
post holder. It is a full time post, to provide technical support for the use of ICT across the school and
support the teaching and learning of ICT. Qualifications or knowledge of Microsoft Windows and RM is
essential, as is some experience of working with children. The post is for term time only, with the possibility
of negotiated over time in school holidays. It would be preferred for the candidate to start in December
2014 to allow handover by current post holder.

work regularly at school or on an “as and when” basis, when the needs of the service dictate.
The successful candidates will work during the lunchtime period (12:00-1:15/11:45-1pm), teaching and
promoting playground games and social activity. You will also help in the dinner hall promoting good
manners and generally helping the children.
You will need to be punctual, creative and able to demonstrate that you are able to use your own initiative.
Experience of working and playing with young children is essential. An up to date First Aid qualification
would be desirable although training can be arranged. This post is also subject to a clear DBS check.
Visits to school are most welcome and highly recommended.

Governors at Thames View Infants wish to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistants, specialising in
being able to help support our most vulnerable pupils. Previous relevant experience of working with
children with BESD and implementing behaviour plans confidently is essential. Experience of teaching high
quality support work across EYFS and KS1 is desirable. You will also be dedicated to listening to our
children and helping them to grow.
The post holder’s key responsibilities will be to:
Implement and maintain effective support for children with BESD and their families;
Work in partnership with the Inclusion Leader, SENCo, CP Officer, Parent Support Officer and Key Leaders
when implementing this provision;
Support children within class as well as in Nurture Groups;
As directed, provide support in class alongside our existing Teaching Assistants implementing support
programmes.
As the successful candidate you will:

Have good empathy, interpersonal skills and an ability to act upon advice and support;
Have the ability to work as part of the whole school team;

Leisure Centre at SRS.
