A word from Fr. Gerald ……….
It has been awhile since I have written anything on my page in the bulletin. We have had a lot of things
going on around the parish; we have achieved many things in the past couple of months. We are happy
that we had a great summer with beautiful weather unlike last year. The first thing I would like to share
with you is about our prayer garden. We will be dedicating the prayer garden to Mr. and Mrs.
Winkelspecht for their thoughtfulness and generosity. The following are the people I would like to thank
for their generous heart in sponsoring different things with our prayer garden and church.
Jack Carpenter – Donation of two benches in memory of Jean, his wife $1,000.00
Walt Krause Donation of one bench in memory of our late Pastor Fr. Bill Evans $500.00
Altar Rosary Society $600.00
Knights of Columbus, Beverly Council $200.00
Brewers Monument Company – Who helped us move the St. Joseph’s statue as well as the monument of
the unborn children.
I don’t know how many of you notice we have gotten two new altars for the statues of the Sacred Heart
and the Blessed Mother at St. Joseph’s Church. It was Sandra Pennise who made the suggestion to raise
the statues and make a bigger altar to place flowers. We are also grateful for the donation of $550
towards the project. Steve Bears gave his time and energy in making two of those altars. We have also
move the large stain glass frame that used to be on the left side above the choir to the side wall. I found it
to be out of place, also I wanted to balance the left side by having a larger banner like the one we have on
the right above the tabernacle. We now have four new banners for all the liturgical seasons. You may
remember that we opened a Chapel in one of our classrooms in St. Joseph’s School, second floor wing.
Until this summer we made use of chairs to sit. Thanks to Jack Carpenter who donated $580 for us to get
the pews from the Convent Chapel at Corpus Christi, Willingboro. Our maintenance team and Steve Beers
helped us to install them in to the Chapel. We also have gotten Stations of the Cross from their Chapel
and soon will be installed.
I would like to introduce our newest maintenance man, Quinn Magno who was hired on the 1st of
September. We are blessed to have him for he is a “jack of all trades”, since he knows carpentry,
plumbing, roofing, and electrical work. As a result we need not to hire any outside contractors and that
will save the parish money. We are also truly blessed to have Joe Randazzo and Quinn as members of our
maintenance staff, who work hard to get the job done and work well together.
Already we are in fall which seems to be colder compared to last year, but hope not to have a wild bad
winter like last year. Thank you all! Hope to write more and share with you in the next bulletin!

Altar Rosary Society is looking into making a Parish
Cookbook. St. Peter’s Parish, Riverside had done one
30 years ago and had been a very successful endeavor
for the Parish School at that time. We are looking for
family recipes that are easy with ingredients that are
usually found in the home. We would also like Crock
pot recipes, Vegan recipes, and Gluten free
recipes. Your name, or your family recipe name will be
listed with your recipes. Please contact Kathy Robertson
at 856-764-1130 with any questions, and more
information to follow once we get this coordinated with
Fr. Gerald.

encourage your child to participate.

Liturgical Bits & Bytes – All Souls Day
We take this day to remember all those loved ones who have died. Most parishes
have a "Book of the Names of the Dead" in which parishioners can write the
names of those they wish to have remembered. This book is usually placed near
the Paschal Candle and remains there from All Souls Day through the month of
November or until the beginning of Advent.
