Décor-Foam™ Polyurethane Faux Panels for Interior and Exterior
Nova uses the most advanced polyurethane chemistry to create Décor-Foam™ faux rock veneers used on
our simulated faux rock panels, stone panels, wood panels, and brick
panels. We combine UV stabilizers, scratch resistant agents and
additives to enhance the texture and feel of the fake rock, stone,
wood (bamboo), and brick veneer surface. Most importantly we use
oxide pigments that are applied to the mold prior to PU injection
making the longevity of the surface infinitely superior to traditional
painted surfaces. So, our Décor-Foam™ faux siding products add
value and style to your home and have been engineered to survive
the harshest climates and the abuses of everyday life. Constructed
out of durable polyurethane, these faux panels look like
real brick, stacked stone, barn board, rustic bamboo, or
random rock while remaining lightweight. They resist
chipping, rotting and fading and were designed to be
easily installed by anyone with basic carpentry skills.
In addition to the strength and the visual appeal, our
products offer significant insulating properties (R-Value)
unachievable with traditional siding or masonry.
Our faux artificial rock, fake stone and brick panels and
siding weigh less than 1 pound per square foot, and because each simulated panel covers several square
feet, the overall cost and ease of installation is much less than that of traditional masonry panel products.
In fact, labor savings on fake stone panel installation often exceeds the actual cost of our products.
Décor-Foam™ Faux Panel Features
1. Material: High Density Polyurethane (PU).
2. Light Weight. Only about 1/10 weight of real stone if the same volume.
2. Fast construction. 20 times quicker and cost much less than real stone installation.
4. Flame Retardant. Proved by ASTM E84-08 Grade "A".
Flame Spread Index: 11.4 (Std.0~25); Smoke Developed Value: 187 (Std.0~450).
5. Eco-Friendly: Comply with ROHS, No CFC (Chlorofluorocarbon), No Formaldehyde, No Radon etc.
6. Thermal insulation: Thermal Conductivity (W/m.K)≤0.02. Provide an R-value higher than real brick, real stone or
wood wall.
7. Water-proof: Water absorption (V/V %)≤1%.
8. Acoustic insulation, UV resistant, electricity insulated, 100% weather proof.
9. Anti-moth, anticorrosion, mildew-proof, quake-proof.
10. Extremely durable. At lest 15 years without obvious fading in outdoor use.

Installation
1. Begin the panel installation by making sure the surface the panels will be attached to
is clean. Wipe the surface with a rag. Use a wire brush on harder surfaces. Wipe clean
the back of the panels as well.
Acclimatize the Décor-Foam™ Faux Panels to roughly the same temperature and
humidity as the installation surface for about 24 hours. Avoid storing Faux Panels in
direct sunlight or close to heat sources.
2. Plan the layout of your panels to best suit your space.
Find the high point on your floor/ground using a level. Measure up from the high point
of the floor/ground and mark the wall to the height of the Décor-Foam™ Faux Panel.
Draw a level line across your wall as a guide.
Note: Depending on the layout of your project, you should always cut into the panels
(1/2, 1/3, or 1/4) and not just cut off the tabs at the end.
3. Apply a bead of glue/adhesive to the perimeter of the back of the panel, roughly an
inch from the edge.
Add additional glue/adhesive to the rest of the panel back in a vertical straight line
pattern with beads of glue/adhesive only 4 inches apart or less.
4. Apply the Faux Panel to the wall. Use a slight twisting motion to help ensure good
contact with the glue/adhesive and the wall. Make sure the panel is level with the level
line drawn.
5. Begin fastening the panel to the wall with screws all around the perimeter at roughly
one foot apart or less. Additional screws need to be in the middle of the panel at a rate
of about 1 screw per square foot. All screws should be very slightly recessed below the
surface of the panel. Do not over tighten the screws. Use exterior grade screws if the
panels are being installed in high moisture areas.
Hint: Placing screws under protruding rocks, in crevices, or grout lines, to help conceal
them will give a cleaner/more realistic look.
6. Add glue/adhesive to the lip of the panel where the next panel will overlap, about 1
inch away from the textured face of the panel.
7. Add the textured caulk to the crease where the panels will actually butt together.
This is very important to ensure a weather-tight seal.
Steps 6 & 7 will assist in maintaining the integrity of the panel installation by preventing
any possible flexing or separation of the product due to extreme ambient temperature
and humidity changes once the installation is complete. Use the textured caulk to
conceal the screw heads as well.
8. Repeat steps 3-7 for the next panel to be installed. Place it onto the wall next to the
first panel. Keep the panel level. Press the panels firmly against the wall with a slight
wiggle motion to help spread the glue.
Install the panel very tightly against the first panel, as they may expand and contract
with temperature changes. Continue repeating steps 3-7 until your first row is complete.
9. Before the texture caulk dries be sure to use a damp rag to wipe off any excess
caulk that may have squeezed out from between the joint between the two panels.
A wet finger, paint brush, or other such tool can assist in smoothing and blending the
caulk. Use the textured caulk to also fill in any voids, gaps, screw heads or spaces.
10. If you are installing multiple rows of panels, start on the next row above the one just
completed. Repeat step 3-9 for the next row of panels to be installed.
Note: The panels are designed to butt up to each other bottom to top. This 'shiplap'
joint should also be glued and caulked like in steps 6 & 7 to ensure a tight seal that has
a seamless look.
When you come to the end of a panel run, most often you can take the piece you
originally cut off to use at the start of your next run or offset each row by a half sheet.
This will make pattern repeats less noticeable.
10a. When installing the Fieldstone panel you will not be able to offset the panel when
installing one over the other due to the nature of their interlocking patterns.
IMPORTANT TIPS: Be sure that the panels are oriented properly, the tongue portion of the panel is on top of the panel, and the
groove portion of the panel is on the bottom. All joints including miters will need to be glued and caulked. The panels may
require additional shimming and trimming for proper alignment.
Be sure to follow and obey all safety rules and recommendations set forth by tool manufacturers.
Always follow any, and all, local, state, and federal building codes. Always comply with any specified clearances set forth by the
manufactures of stoves, fireplaces, furnaces, and any other heat sources, as well.
