We pray that our Confirmandis may always be living witnesses of the Gospel. We also congratulate their parents and Sponsors on this very special day. We welcome and we thank Bishop Thomas Donato, D.D., Regional Bishop for Hudson County for celebrating the Sacrament of Confirmation with us. We are also grateful to Fr. Dave for his assistance at our Confirmation liturgy. Finally, we thank Mrs. Josephine Sarno and all our Confirmation Catechists who worked so hard to prepare the children of our parish for this sacrament. I received a letter from Archbishop John J. Myers informing me that Fr. Basil Lek has been appointed Pastor of St. Valentine Church effective November 5, 2014. We welcome Fr. Basil to our Parish and we wish him all the very best. Please include Fr. Basil in your prayers as he begins his ministry and service here at St. Valentine. Finally, I wish to thank all of you for all your prayers, friendship and support these past 14 years. I am grateful for the many grace-filled and memorable years I spent here at St. Valentine. You are always welcome to visit me at St. Aloysius Church in Jersey City. I will miss you all. You will also be invited to my installation as Pastor of St. Aloysius Church. Spanish cards are also needed. Each prisoner is given one card to send to their family who suffer along with them. Please help brighten these families; Christmas.
