GROUP FITNESS CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
(Class Levels = 1-beginner/intermediate and 2-intermediate/advanced)
Cardiovascular Training
Circuit: This perfect circuit class utilizes the fundamental elements of strength training and short burst of explosive power with high level skills that enhance movement. Experience
this optimal functional performance training by rotating from station to station that integrates conditioning drills and precision skills.
Cardio Stack: Based on pyramid lifting concepts, this circuit class stacks exercises allowing you to move at your own pace or leave your neighbors in the dust.
Cross Train: Get ready to sweat with basic sport specific movements and cardio drills. Have fun with extremely athletic and challenging movements that merge functional training,
weight training, interval drills, and running that will “whip you into shape”! Classes may vary - Aqua, Power Circuit, Cycling, or Kickboxing (Check with Front Desk/Group Instructor)
Interval Training: This class takes the participant through a series of cardio and strength training exercises with relatively brief rest intervals in between. The purpose is to keep the
heart rate elevated near the aerobic level without dropping off to ensure fast, dramatic fitness results.
Kickboxing: De-stress in this fun, pre-designed, non-contact kickboxing interval class using no equipment. Cardio and strength based with an intense energy sprint for the ultimate
challenge.
Supervised Exercise: The Supervised Exercise Program is designed for certain individuals who are not currently exercising and would like to start a routine under the care of an
exercise professional. The program is designed to help you improve your health and cardiovascular fitness, and provide you with the necessary tools to make exercise a routine
part of your lifestyle. All participants must meet specific criteria to qualify for program. *See front desk for details, screening form, and session costs.
Dance
Belly Dance Fitness: A unique group exercise class that uses Belly Dance music, movements, and easy-to-follow choreographies to deliver a low-impact and cardio-respiratory
workout that is fun, effective and completely.
Cardio Hip Hop: Enjoy learning funky hi-energy dance combinations while getting fit! Funky dance moves to current music will get your heart pumping. By the end of the class
you will feel like a music video star! No prior dance experience necessary.
Just Dance: An exhilarating and refreshingly different type of dance workout. It features the fun of learning various dance styles with boot camp results. Feel the thrill and shed the
pounds as it leaves you totally toned and fully energized.
Zumba: Combines high energy Latin music and unique combinations interchanged with resistance and circuit training exercises. Have tons of FUN as you maximize caloric
expenditure while improving muscular and cardio strength and endurance! No previous dance experience is required.
Strength, Core, Resistance Training & Stretching
Abs Etc.: A 30-minute abdominal, mid-section and lower back workout. Perfect before or after your cardio workout!
Body Sculpt: Go back to basics, using traditional strength training exercises and training principles of progression, overload, and recovery to see strength improvements like
you've never achieved before.
BLT (Butt, Legs, & Tummy): Burn calories, get stronger and firm the Butt, Legs and Tummy in this fun and challenging class.
Core Mama™: An innovative PRENATAL and POSTPARTUM class that help you control weight gain and maintain muscle tone during pregnancy and get your body back faster
after baby comes by performing exercises that isolate muscles weakened during and after pregnancy.
Core & More/Stretch: This workout is designed to target those hard to reach gluts, abs, and core sections! Challenge your abdominals, lower back, and total core area. Increase
the strength of the muscles that provide stability and improve muscle definition for the superficial core muscles. Then cool down and enjoy a 15 min stretch.
FlexCo: This class combines exercises using the Xco-trainer and Flexibar to give you a challenging and well-rounded workout of cardiovascular endurance, strength, core strength,
and flexibility. Using Xco-trainers for traditional cardio, strength, and plyometric exercises you will experience a challenge to your cardiovascular endurance and strength in a whole
new way! Coordination and joint stability are the focus of exercises using the Flexibar.
Total Barre™: High-energy and dynamic Total Barre™ integrates elements of Pilates, dance, cardio & strength training. You’ll increase strength, flexibility, stamina and dynamic
stability. It is a program geared for everyone—no dance experience required!
Total Body Conditioning: Alternates muscle toning movements along with intervals of fat-blasting cardio techniques set to the upbeat music that will get your heart pumping with
a combination of athletic functional moves. This class will integrate the use of different equipment such as XCO trainer, Step, Core Ball, Flexi-Bar, Bands. All levels welcome!!
Total Body Work: Give your arms, shoulders, chest, and back a complete workout in 30 minutes, then 30 minutes of intense training of the legs, gluts, thighs and lower back to
sculpt and strengthen your lower body to perfection. Perfect for all fitness levels!
Rest & Recover: Improve your workout gains with an essential recovery. Various tools are utilized to minimize muscle fatigue from your workout routine and improve joint mobility.
Cycling
Music Video Spin: Indoor cycling class set to the latest music videos available. This 45 minute cycling class will have you riding to upbeat and visual videos of today.
Studio Cycling: Experience this athletic, adrenaline-pumping group workout performed on the stationary bike with high energy music. It will make you feel like a cycling pro!
Yoga/Mind-Body
Anusara Yoga: A Hatha yoga system where the human spirit powerfully blends with the science of biomechanics and the universal principles of alignment. This non-dual Tantric
philosophy is epitomized by a “celebration of the heart”. Come and explore the possibilities!
Bodhana Yoga: In the yoga language, Bodhana is translated as: "causing to wake, awakening, arousing." This uplifting early morning hatha yoga practice will gently wake you up
physically, stir your mental faculties and arouse the external and internal senses to start you on a wonderful day of abundance.
Gentle Yoga: Designed for those who need time to relax, de-stress or get an energy boost, this class follows a slower but just as effective practice to strengthen the muscles while
calming the body and mind. No yoga experience required!
Integrative Yoga: A more gentle, focus on integrating the mind and the body together - meditation and poses.
Lunchtime Yoga: This one-hour lunchtime class is designed for participants of all fitness levels so as to offer an option to “break from the workplace”, nurture the body and soul.
You may walk in or out as needed to fit your work schedule.
PowerFlow/Power Yoga: Take yoga to the next level in this intense workout which combines Ashtanga and Vinyasa Flow disciplines with intermediate-advanced poses.
Recommended for yoga practitioners who are ready to take their practice to the next level! Two levels are available for this practice.
Vinyasa Yoga: Vinyasa means “breath synchronized with movement” and will harness the power of breath to flow through movements for the entire class. Finish with a relaxation
that will leave you refreshed and renewed.
Warrior Yoga: Join the yoga warrior legions in the battle for Self. Reclaim your physical, mental and emotional well-being using the wisdom of the ages... Yoga. This is a vigorous
90 minute yoga practice that attunes your breath, refines the body, calms the mind and quiets the heart for optimal fitness, health and wellness.
Aquatics
Aqua Workout: Increase aerobic, strength and flexibility conditioning using aqua “toys” and equipment in the swimming pool. Perfect for all fitness levels! No swimming
experience required.
Pilates
Mat Pilates: A cross conditioning system designed to shape your legs, hips, back, chest and arms with a precise focus on strengthening your abdominals and your back. Great
compliment to any workout! Pilates will transform, re-define and shape your body into a long, lean and athletic streamlined physique without developing “bulky” muscles.
*Reformer Pilates: Take your core and strength training workout to the next level and achieve maximum results in a semi-private session with a certified Reformer Pilates
Specialist. Ideal for those who require more personalized attention in a workout designed to target specific problem areas such as posture, body alignment and range of motion.
