On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I am extremely delighted to
invite you to join us at the 27th East Asian Insurance Congress from
November 2 nd to November 6 th, 2014 at the Taipei International
Convention Center.
The theme for the 27th EAIC is “Insurance at the Cross Roads: Coping
with the Change”. We will thoroughly engage in presentations and
discussions on the key topics of the future of life insurance in a
rapidly ageing society, managing CAT risks, investment management,
and whether or not reinsurers have risen to the challenge of having
the capacity to consistently provide the necessary technical and
professional support for the insurance companies in our region.
Since the establishment of the EAIC in 1962, this Congress has
consistently served as a vital platform for all members and insurance
practitioners in the region to exchange ideas and information on a
variety of insurance and to explore solutions for the problems and
issues that we are facing in the insurance industry. It is essential that
we share our opinions and learn from each other to mutually fulfill
the EAIC policy of further developing international collaboration in all
fields of insurance through a collection of presentational sessions and
networking events.
Taipei is a well-balanced international city with a blend of
contemporary and traditional culture. It is well-known for its
abundance of unique local cuisine as well as the endless cultural
attractions. We have arranged numerous social events and leisure
activities to make your stay in Taipei a memorable moment in your
