Thank you. Here are your announcements for the day. High School Announcements 1. Picture retakes are scheduled for Tuesday, November 4th. Please stop by the office and talk to Mrs. Koupal if you are interested in taking retakes. 2. All student council members, please report to Miss Limke’s room immediately after announcements for a brief meeting regarding today’s movie showing. 3. Attention all boys planning on going out for basketball. There will be a short meeting TODAY DURING HOMEROOM. Please come to Mr. Knippling's room as soon as announcements are done today. 4. Ms. Trumble's classes will meet the following places this morning: Home Room in the Commons.; 2nd Hour Nutrition & Wellness in the Study Hall; 4th Hour Clothing & Crafts in the Commons. Thank you for your flexibility. 5. Congratulations to the volleyball team on their win over Vermillion. 6. Great job to all of the participants in the Oral Interp competition yesterday. A special congratulations to those that are moving on to Regionals: Maria Corio, John Schuh, Justin Broekemeier, Denielle Minor, Stone Vermilyea, Andrew Flannery, Benjamin Roberts, and Alex Hoffman. Way to go! 7. Students and Staff: Reminder that there are no weapons allowed on campus at any time. With hunting season upon us, remember that you may not store any weapons in your vehicle at any time on the Elk Point-Jefferson campus inclusive of parking lots or other district owned property. Having a weapon on campus could result in immediate long-term suspension or expulsion and referral to law enforcement. Be strongly advised. 8. High School Halloween Dance at The Pointe is tonight from 9:00 to 11:00 PM sponsored by the EPJ After Prom Parents. Costumes are welcome and admission is $5.00 per person. This is a non school sponsored activity. 9. The student council will be hosting a movie viewing during 6th and 7th period for all high school students today. Please remember: your voucher must be attached and visible all day today to maintain your costume privileges. Students we will maintain a normal schedule until 1:21. Please report to the MS gym immediately following 5th period/2nd lunch. 10. There will be an informational meeting Monday, November 3, for the 2016 East Coast Trip. The meeting begins at 7 P.M. in the high school vocal room and should only last 30-45 minutes. The trip goes to Washington, D.C., Philadelphia and New York City. The trip is open to high school students who missed during middle school, middle school students and interested adults. Please contact Patty Skinner if you have any questions. 11. Infinite Campus (Parent Portal) will be unavailable this weekend from: Friday, October 31 @ 5:00 pm to Sunday, November 2nd @ 11:00 pm. Please note that these times are "approximate." MIDDLE SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS 1. The Halloween Dance is this Sat. Nov. 1. Time for the dance is from 7-10PM. Please use the library doors to enter the dance. The doors will lock at 7:30 PM. All students are expected to stay until 10PM. The cost for the dance is $4 per student without a costume and $3 with a costume. 2.
