• This application is for degree-seeking international students (U.S. nonimmigrants). An international student is one who is currently in
the U.S. on a nonimmigrant visa or one who plans to enter the U.S. to study at UA on a nonimmigrant visa.
• You may apply online at admissions.arizona.edu/international if you are an international, student.
• If you were once a degree-seeking UA international student, you must apply for readmission. The application for readmission as an

• Application deadlines: spring semester — October 1; summer session I & II — April 1; fall semester — May 1. If the deadline falls on a non-business day, the deadline is
extended through the next business day. It may take 6 to 8 weeks, from the time we receive all necessary documentation, to process your application and render a decision.
• Application requirements: For admission consideration, all applicants must submit a completed application, official secondary and post-secondary translated
transcripts from all schools attended, a demonstration of English proficiency, financial guarantee bank statement(s), a copy of your passport bio page and the appropriate
nonrefundable, nontransferable application processing fee.
• Financial guarantee statement: If you are asking the University of Arizona to issue an I-20 or DS-2019, you are required to submit an acceptable financial guarantee
statement by the appropriate deadline. The financial guarantee statement is proof that you or your sponsor are financially capable of paying your education and living
expenses. You may download this financial guarantee statement at admissions.arizona.edu/international or by calling (520) 621-3237.
• Demonstration of English proficiency: All applicants whose native language is other than English are required to prove college-ready English proficiency. An

higher; earn a 53 or higher on the PTE-Academic Test; or request and obtain an endorsement from UA’s Center for English as a Second Language (CESL). In addition, a
minimum score of 530 on SAT verbal or 21 on ACT English will be considered. For other possible alternative methods for satisfying the English proficiency requirement,

• All applicants must pay a nonrefundable, nontransferable $75 application processing fee (in U.S. currency) in the form of a check or money order drawn on a U.S.
banking affiliate, made payable to the University of Arizona by the appropriate deadline. Applicant’s name and birth date should be included on the check or money
order. The fee payment must be attached to this application. Applications will not be considered unless accompanied by this required nonrefundable, nontransferable
fee. There are no exceptions to this requirement. Do not send cash.
