Marty holds an MBA, CLU and LUTC-F designation and is one of the most experienced insurance professionals in Kern County. Marty started with Farmers as an agent in Sherman Oaks in 1980 and moved his office to Tehachapi in 1990. He has been blessed with an incredible experienced staff three of which have had ten or more years experience with Farmers, Cindy Reniche, Office Manager Ginger Patz and Becky Bourland. The newest members of the staff are Marissa Sovell who is a customer service rep., John McKeehan who does Marketing and Sue Wonacott who specializes in Medical, Life Insurance and Long Term Care. The office is predicated on service being the name of the game. In insurance Marty has stated, “you're dealing with an intangible, service is the product and then performance when an incident occurs!” The office is only one of two in Kern County that have achieved the prestigious Toppers Club for Farmers Insurance over 20 years. They have been Agent of the Year 7 times in 3 different decades. Marty also teaches one night a week at the University of Phoenix. He teaches Business, Management, Public Speaking and Critical Thinking. He also has a radio show on four stations in Kern County interviewing people from Steve Forbes to Newt Gingrich and Thomas Sowell. The office is open from 8:30-5:30 five days a week at 121 East F St. in Tehachapi. On Saturday, December 6th at 5:30 p.m. The Greater Tehachapi Chamber of Commerce is planning the 14th Annual Christmas parade “Christmas in Candyland”. The Parade route will be down “F” Street beginning at Mulberry Street. This event is planned so the community can gather together for visiting old friends, making new friends, drinking hot chocolate, watching the parade, sharing a meal, enjoying the lights, singing carols, strolling from business to business doing your Christmas Shopping.
