Women and cats will do as
they please, and men and
dogs should relax and get
used to the idea.
California State University at
Bakersfield students will be
conducting a medication and
safety education class at the
senior center on November 4
from 11:00 to noon.
President’s Message
The Tri-Tip fund raiser dinner was
a great success; we thank
Links 4 Life for their donation.
This is an annual fund raising
dinner hosted by Links 4 Life. We
also thank the cook Peter Goetz
Lisa Kroese was our guest, she is a
Certified Appraiser and she
appraised the items the seniors
brought in and we thank Lisa for
the time she spent with us.
We now have a dispenser with
sparkletts water hot and cold.
We had a remarkable thing to
happen with two of our pinochle
players, they pulled a pinochle,
this happens maybe once in a players life time. A pinochle is when a
player and his partner take
all the tricks.
The center is in dire need of
updating its computer, if you know
someone who would like to donate
a computer with a sufficient
amount of memory and storage
please let us know.
We also have a walk in cooler for
sale.
For the months of November and
December we will not have a fund
raiser dinner.
Stay tuned in for other events we
will sponsor.
There can be no happiness if the
things we believe in are different
from the things we do.

Tehachapi Senior Center
has a web site!
Thanks go out to Lewis Brown for the creation
of a web page for the senior center.
Visit us at:
www.tehachapiseniorcenter.com
You will find a copy of this newsletter during the
first week of each month along with membership
applications and other pertinent information.
The Senior Center SCOOP needs more
sponsors and for as little as $25 ($20 for
members), your business can be promoted
each month to over 1,000 readers who look
for the Senior Nutrition program menu,
locations for senior discounts at merchants
around town and articles of interest. Call the
center or contact one of the board members even if
it's just to JOIN your center that serves all of the
Valley with activities and services described on the
back page. Without YOUR HELP there can't be a
viable Senior Center - and remember, many
activities and the monthly dinners are open to
ALL AGES.
