The BD Microtainer MAP Microtube for Automated Process provides another opportunity to decrease iatrogenic blood loss
due to diagnostic testing. It can provide the capability for low volume blood draws, especially in patients with poor venous
access, and it can decrease the number of sample processing steps.
Sysmex supports blood conservation programs with a goal of helping laboratories make every drop of blood count while
delivering streamlined, standardized sample processing.
The following chart is provided to inform users of the compatibility of this new sample tube with various Sysmex
hematology lab systems.

A dedicated rack with bar code must be used with
the MAP Tube on all configurations of the XN-Series.
System software enables automatic processing for the
tubes and bypassing of the SP-10 slide preparation unit
which is not compatible at this time. The minimum
sample size is 250μL with 88μL being sampled.
