Charles Moore is the authorized biographer of Margaret Thatcher. He currently
serves as Consulting Editor for the Telegraph Group and is a weekly columnist for
The Daily Telegraph and The Spectator. He has served as editor of The Spectator,
The Sunday Telegraph, and The Daily Telegraph. The first volume of his biography
of Lady Thatcher, Not for Turning, was published in 2013, and was awarded the
Elizabeth Longford Prize for Historical Biography and the Paddy Power Political
Book of the Year Prize.
Kellyanne Conway is the founder and president of the polling company, inc./
WomanTrend. A frequent guest on radio and television, her polling data and
writings have been published by the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, USA
Today, and National Review. A trustee of the Phillips Foundation and a board
member of the Clare Boothe Luce Policy Institute, she is the co-author of What
Women Really Want.
Elliott Abrams served as Assistant Secretary of State in the Reagan administration
and as Deputy National Security Advisor in the George W. Bush administration.
A past president of the Ethics and Public Policy Center, he currently teaches
at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. He appears regularly on
CNN and FOX News and is a frequent contributor to the Weekly Standard and
Commentary. He is the author or editor of several books, including, most recently,
Tested By Zion: The Bush Administration and the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict.

The capital of Portugal, Lisbon is known for its
castles, pastel and white buildings, and orange-tiled
roofs. Founded as a trading outpost, it later came
under Roman rule. Taken by the Moors in 711 A.D.,
crusader knights reconquered the city in 1147.

Day Two | Monday, July 13
Built along the hillsides overlooking the mouth
of the Douro River, Oporto’s charming urban
landscape features many and varied monuments,
grand churches, and winding medieval streets.

St. Malo is a short drive from the magnificent abbey
of Mont Saint-Michel. Perched on a rocky islet, this
Gothic-style Benedictine abbey was begun in the
11th century and built on the remains of an 8th
century church.

Guernsey’s largest town, St. Peter Port, reflects
both British and French cultural influences, and is
perhaps best known as Victor Hugo’s refuge when

Hauteville House, where Hugo wrote Les Miserables
and other novels.

Program:
Day One—You will be met at the airport and
transferred to the modern Sheraton Lisboa
