Welcome to the 9th Hanover PreMoot
The Leibniz University of Hanover and the Hanover Vis
Alumni Association (HVAA) are proud to invite you to
the 9th Hanover PreMoot which will take place from 19
to 21 February 2015.
Our goal
We try to offer all participants the best possible preperation for the oral rounds in Vienna. In the last years the Hanover PreMoot became one of the largest
PreMoots in Europe. In the last 8 years, the PreMoot
hosted lots of teams from 14 different countries e.g.
from Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, France, Italy,
Lithuania, Poland, Serbia, Switzerland, Spain and Turkey. The educational success of the Hanover PreMoot
reached a new high in 2012, where 8 of the 25 participating teams reached the final rounds in Vienna.
Our Concept
The pleadings are held in the rooms of the faculty.
Therefore, we can offer very short ways between the
pleading rooms and the lounge, our „Dachgeschoss“
where all the participants can have a cup of coffee and
get in contact with other teams and the arbitrators.
During the PreMoot every team will have at least
four pleadings. The tribunals consist of law professors, attorneys, coaches and former Willem C. Vis
Moot participants. This way we offer the teams a
very realistic impression of the setting of the elimination rounds in Vienna and Hong Kong. Although, the
Hanover PreMoot will not have a final ranking, the arbitrators‘ scores will be sent to the teams after the PreMoot and of course feedback will be given right after
the pleadings.
On Thursday, the first day of the PreMoot, the Institute
for Civil Procedure and Attorney Regulations as well as
the HVAA would like to invite every team to a small reception before the Pleadings will start on Friday.
