Rosters: A team consists of players that are currently attending the community’s local school district or that reside in the community’s school district. Format: Pool play format for 4th, 5th, and 6th grade boys and girls (3-game guarantee). High School regulation clock. **Clock stops on all whistles! Awards: Individual trophies will be given to champions and runners-up in each division, medals will be awarded for 3rd & 4th place. Tournament Admission: $3.00 per adult for daily admission, $2.00 per child 12/ under. Senior Citizens FREE (65 and older) Insurance: It is the responsibility of each team and player to provide his or her own coverage. Restrictions: NO SUNDAY RESTRICTIONS will be accepted. Playoff and championship games are played on the final tournament day. Refund Policy: No refunds will be given when requested less than two weeks before the first game of the tournament. Inclement Weather: The Director of Parks and Recreation reserves the right to cancel all or portions of either the boy’s or girl’s tournaments, or both, due to weather or other circumstances. Coach Signature ________________________________________________ TOURNAMENT RULES POOL PLAY FORMAT The clock will stop on all whistles and High School rules will be used with the following exceptions: 6-Minute Quarters No press until the 2nd Half for 5th & 6th Grade No press until the 4th Quarter for 4th Grade 4th Grade Boys and 4th Grade Girls Foul Shots: Shooter starts behind the line, and is permitted to advance over the line on the shot. Violations: 1st – Warning, 2nd – Technical. Two time outs per half with no carry-over (45 seconds each.) Mercy Rule: If one team is ahead by 15 points in the 4th quarter the clock will run. (No press is allowed at any time if up by 15 or more.) 2-Minute Overtime (as many as necessary) One timeout per team, per overtime 5-Minute Halftime 5-Minute Game Warm-up Certified referees will be assigned to each game. Youth size basketball (28.5) will be used. Coaches and team members are required to report in no later than 20 minutes before game time. Coaches please check scorebook to verify names and numbers at this time. Players are permitted on one roster only. Players may play up a grade level (ie.4 th can play 5th, 5th can play 6th). *Only boys permitted in boys’ tournament and only girls permitted in girls’ tournament.* Teams are to be made up of players that are currently attending the community’s local school district or reside in the community’s school district. Proof may be required, please be prepared to show proof. Tie-breakers for pool play will be determined by: 1) head-to-head competition, 2) lowest points allowed (reward defense), 3) point differential, maximum of 15 points per game, 4) points scored, and 5) coin toss. Rosters are limited to 15 players and 2 coaches. Passes will be provided to team members and coaches. Please present your passes at each game. We reserve the right to start games 10 minutes early. Stow Parks and Recreation reserves the right to remove any individual from the tournament facilities due to unsportsmanlike conduct or unruly behavior.
