Classification and typing must be determined using various assays to quantify antigen levels, ristocetin co-factor (RCo) activity and FVIII activity. Dr. Federici will review the latest methodologies for optimizing VWD diagnosis. He will present best practices for incorporating comprehensive, automated testing panels for greater sensitivity, and using platelet-free assays to reduce both the time and variability of manual methods. Finally, Dr. Federici will discuss how advanced testing methods can improve lab efficiency, patient management and outcomes. Presentation Topics • Role of VWF and pathology of VWD • Guidelines for clinical and laboratory evaluation • Review of diagnostic methodologies • Recommendations for optimizing clinical and laboratory efficiencies and patient outcomes About the ILluminations Webinar Series ILluminations Webinars are educational, web-based seminars led by experts and opinion leaders.
