24-Hour Prayer Vigil
We are taking a step of faith and crying out to God in one
voice for 24 hours that we would see a work of God on
our campus!
How does this
work???
You can use these slides as a
guide through your time. This is
just a tool. You will have the
opportunity to pray for people by
name, specific needs, and for
the vision of LUKaS. There are
also verses acknowledging God
and seeking His glory in this
place. When you come to verse,
read it slowly asking the Spirit to
give you insight and then pray
the truths back to God for
LUKaS and LTU. Other slides
offer information that simply give
facts you can use to pray.
Remember the following slides are suggestions. Use this
hour as you are led.
Holy Spirit to come, be my teacher. Teach
me how to pray. Open my eyes to see as
you see and share your perspective and
your heart for this university and the people.
Give me ears to hear. Help me be focused
and inspired to battle in prayer so that we
may see Your Kingdom come at LTU as it is
in Heaven.
Har du inte förstått, inte hört? Herren är en evig Gud, han har
skapat hela jorden. Han blir inte trött, han mattas inte. Ingen
pejlar djupet av hans vishet. Han ger den trötte kraft, den svage
får ny styrka. Unga män kan bli trötta och mattas, ynglingar
snava och falla, men de som litar till Herren får ny kraft, de får
vingar som örnar. De springer utan att bli trötta,

Who is LTU?
Luleå Technical University
Luleå University of Technology, just
over 40 years old, has 1,700
employees and 19,000 students.

Credo
•
Who/What is Credo? Credo is the Swedish National
Fellowship of Evangelical Students affiliated to the
International Fellowship of Evangelical Students (IFES), an
inter-denominational organisation. Our vision is to make
Jesus Christ known, believed, obeyed and loved among all
students.

Jesper, living in Umeå, and his family. God has provided
funding for him to work part time towards this vision
supporting student groups on multiple campuses.

Graduates
As graduates are all over Sweden and beyond, let us pray for them by name. That they would
have favour in their work places and living environments continuing to be salt and light to their area
of influences. That they would be connected with a local body of believers growing in their faith
and helping to encourage others. That God would give them favour that His name would be
famous in every place an LTU/LUKaS grad walks.

Praise God for their service and how God has

Emil will graduate leaving Luleå next month starting a new season in Lund.
•
Martin will start his exjobb in Stockholm most likely :) starting in January.
•
Emanuel is still deciding on his exjobb and needing to hear back from places
he has applied to all over Sweden.
•
Heather will have one more term here at LTU and is the process of deciding
to look for work or continue studies.
•
Hilda will also have one more term to finish up her degree and hopes to find
a job here in Luleå.

LUKaS Activity this term
•
We have kicked off the Alpha Course so that we may build a
strong foundation of what we believe as well as provide an
opportunity for those that want to learn about who Jesus says He
is. We have a few more meetings and will continue next term.
•
Morning prayer. Pray that God would inspire our hearts and create
a hunger to gather together to pray and seek His face as one
body at LTU.
•
Tuesday lunches…pray that it would provide an opportunity to
encourage one another spiritually and deepen friendships during
the week.
•
The end of the term formal dinner…that it would be a celebration!

A new board of students leaders will be decided by the end of
January. Pray for who may be stepping up to continue to carry out
the LUKaS vision.

Outreaches such as Repairing Bikes, Coffee, etc. As we look to
meet tangible needs on campus, we desire to be bold in our faith to
share the love of Jesus to every student, staff and faculty

Ski Trip Weekend - an opportunity to enjoy the wonderful winter
weather while creating great memories!

A weekend retreat planned along with the Alpha curriculum to get
away and draw closer to God and be refreshed.

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good
news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who
publishes salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.” The voice of

eye to eye they see the return of the Lord to Zion. Break forth together
into singing, you waste places of Jerusalem, for the Lord has comforted

What do we want to see God do at
LTU? How can He use LUKaS?
•
Every student, staff and faculty member have the opportunity
to encounter the Living God and hear who Jesus truly says
He is inviting them to a personal relationship with Jesus
•
Every believer in Jesus to grow in their personal faith to
graduate established and equipped to be about Kingdom
building wherever the go with whatever career
•
To be the hands and feet of Jesus displaying His glory in how
we live and serve the areas of influence He has given us
•
That LUKaS would provide an avenue for every student to get
to know Jesus personally and learn how to walk in a right
relationship with Him

New Students to Luleå, Exchange
Students & Internationals on campus
•
Transitioning to a new place can be difficult in having to start over with
everything. Pray for the transition of students in this situation that they
would find housing, communities of friends and their basic needs met in
order to start a new season with success.
•
In transition, there is an openness to new ideas, values and activities.
May the transition provide opportunities to encounter Christians with an
active faith and see the hope, love and joy of Jesus. Jesus said they will
know we are Christians by our love for one another. May our love be
contagious.
•
We would be accepting of all people from any background and
experiences treating all people as equals as God created us to be. May
we see people as God sees the helping them feel welcomed, accepting
and belonging to their new city. May we be great hosts for our city.

deception, anger, hurt and disbelief

Open eyes to see God’s glory, beauty and love for real
and not disregard truth based on false assumptions

Bind the enemy from weaving lies & deception

Break spiritual strongholds allowing room for the Spirit
to have His way on campus
Säg därför till Israels folk: Så säger Herren Gud: Det är
inte för er skull jag ingriper, israeliter, utan för mitt heliga
namn som ni har vanärat bland de folk ni har kommit till.

As believers, we would let the Holy Spirit transform
us in every way. May the fruit of the Spirit increase
in each of our lives as well as our community.
Love.
Fill me with a deep love for You. (Rms 5.5) Fill me with Your powerful
love for things that further Your Kingdom. (Mt. 6.22) Teach me how to
love and serve each person I encounter today. Teach me how to love
my family well.
Joy.
Lord, I believe You to fill me with a supernatural joy that is
unspeakable and full of glory. (1Peter 1.8) Show me how I fail to
rejoice and give praise at all times. (Phil. 4.4)
Peace.
Lord, I trust You to fill me with Your perfect peace that passes
understanding and guards my heart and mind. (Phil. 4.6-8) Show me
how am I choosing to worry and fret instead of trusting You?
Patience.
Lord, I believe you to fill me with the powerful ability to wait on You and calmly
endure hardships. In what way am I impatient or complaining?
Gentleness.
Lord, I believe You to fill me with a generous attitude that is always looking to help
others. Please show me how I have been selfish and oblivious to the needs of
others.
Goodness.
Lord, I believe you to fill me with a generous attitude that is always looking to help
others. Please show me how I have been selfish and oblivious to the needs of
others.
Faith.
Lord, I trust You to fill me with powerful mountain-moving faith. Fill me with
steadfastness. Lord, show me how I have doubted You.
Meekness.
Lord, please fill me with genuine humility, brokenness and a repentant, obedient
spirit. Show me how I have been proud, arrogant or rebellious.
Self-Control.
Lord, please fill me with self-control and discipline. Please show me how I have
been undisciplined, careless, or indulgent in any area of my life.
Ty han föraktade inte den svage och vände inte ryggen åt hans nöd, han
dolde inte sitt ansikte utan hörde hans rop om hjälp. Du är källan till min
lovsång i den stora tempelskaran. Inför dem som fruktar Herren får jag
frambära de offer jag lovat. De betryckta får äta och bli mätta, de som sökt
sig till Herren får prisa honom. Må ni alltid vara fyllda av livsmod. Hela

stammar skall tillbe inför honom.

du skall finna honom om du frågar efter
