Parallel workshop sessions
Workshop A: Modeling Polymers and Plastic with Abaqus
This workshop covers the material testing, material modeling and finite element
analysis of polymers and plastics. The instructor will present the material models
available in Abaqus to represent the polymers and discuss the process of materialmodel calibration using test data. Characterizing a particular polymer compound for
use with FEA can be quite challenging because of the complexity of its behavior. This
course ties together issues of how to test the material, under what conditions, what
loadings, what preconditioning, and how to use this test data to derive a reliable
and robust FEA material model for the polymer/plastic.
Workshop B: Getting Started with 3DX and Simulation Apps –
Hands-on session
In this workshop users will get to know the SIMULIA apps in the new 3DEXPERIENCE
platform using hands-on workshops with guided instructions. Users will get familiar
with the new user-interface and get to know the workflows to create, run and postprocess different Abaqus analysis using different SIMULIA apps. Focus will be on the
advanced functionality specific to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform which demonstrates
the power of the platform to deliver new user experience to perform your Abaqus
simulations.
