In Christ alone my hope is found He is my light, my strength, my song;
This cornerstone, this solid ground,
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm.
What heights of love, what depths of peace,
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease.
My comforter, my all in all, here in the love of Christ I stand.
In Christ alone, who took on flesh, fullness of God in helpless Babe!
This gift of love and righteousness, scorned by the ones He came to save.
‘Till on the cross as Jesus died, the wrath of God was satisfied.
For ev’ry sin on Him was laid; here in the death of Christ I live.

No guilt in life, no fear in death, this is the pow’r of Christ in me;
From life’s first cry to final breath, Jesus commands my destiny.

‘Til He returns or calls me home, here in the pow’r of Christ I’ll stand!

I have decided to follow Jesus
There in the ground His body lay, Light of the world by darkness slain;
Then, bursting forth in glorious day, up from the grave He rose again!
And as He stands in victory, sin’s curse has lost its grip on me:
For I am His and He is mine, bought with the precious blood of Christ.
And I give myself to You
'Cause You gave Yourself for me
And I'll live my life for You
'Cause You gave Your life for me

During the playing of Amazing Grace you are invited to come
forward and place a poppy  on one of the wreaths at the front of
the church. If you didn’t receive a poppy on the way into the
sanctuary this morning, they can be found at the back of the church.
Though none go with me still I will follow

Colouring pages for children are available at the back of the Sanctuary.
Space at the front right hand side of the Sanctuary has been created for
little ones and their parents/caregivers. Today, children in grades 8 &
under are invited to remain in the service for the Act of Remembrance and
to enjoy the baptism. Nursery/Toddler care is provided by Ji Myoung
Chisholm in the Church School wing.
Today we celebrate Remembrance Day, a memorial day
observed since the end of World War I. During the Act of
Remembrance we remember and honour the members of the
armed forces who have died in the line of duty. Lest we forget.
We thank Stewart Gillis (bagpipes) and Dominic Toccacelli (trumpet) who
are contributing musically to the service.
It is a pleasure to welcome into the fellowship of St. Giles Kingsway:

Following the service everyone is invited for refreshments;
a time of coffee and conversation in the lower hall. Take
a moment to welcome our newest members. You may
exit at the rear left and right staircases or through the front
right door where an usher will assist you at the elevator.
God calls us to prayers of praise and petition. The congregation’s Prayer
Team is eager to support you in prayer, with compassion and
confidentiality. Please contact Team Leaders: Marguerite Lucas or
Beverley McWhinnie with requests for prayer and reasons for praise. Pray
that we might recognize all the blessings in our lives and give thanks for
them every day of the year. If anyone desires a specific prayer during the
Prayers of the People time please write it down and pass it to an usher who
will in turn give it to the Pastor.
Prayers of the People - Each Sunday, we take the opportunity to
remember some in prayer, so that, throughout the year, we might offer
prayer and support for every household. You may wish to remember
these folks in your private prayers this week as we uphold each other
in the SGK family.

Are you seeking to understand how to live the Christian faith and life?
Wondering how to faithfully walk with Christ amidst everyday life? Do you
have more questions than answers? Welcome! You are in the right
place. Currently we are working through the book of Galatians by asking
questions, seeking answers, and struggling to understand how our faith
can equip us to live out our Christian faith in a complex and fast paced
world.

MISSION at ST. GILES KINGSWAY
Mission: To educate the congregation about the mission of Jesus Christ
and to involve the congregation in that mission through both evangelism
and social action.
We are excited to share some of the things we are planning as a Missions
Team with you, the congregation, on this special Sunday. We want to
reach out with the love of Christ to our neighbours. We are partnering
with the Nurture teams Advent Eve Christmas Craft event (Nov. 29) to
encourage neighbours to join in with us to sing some carols remembering the true meaning of Christmas: God coming to us in the
Saviour, Jesus Christ. We will be reaching out to those in need through
Christmas hampers. We will be learning more about the Jane Finch
Reaching Up ministries, and how we can support this mission and take
some responsibility on also. We will be hosting Watoto [African
Children's Choir] in April, to expand
our perspective of the great needs in
the most desperate areas in the world.
We are glad to be called to serve God
in these ways, and welcome your
engagement and involvement on this
vital team of our Church family.
