REFLECTIONS
“The sunset of Jacob’s life reveals the triumph of God’s mighty grace and
the marvelous transforming effects of His power which works upon material
that seemed so unpromising.” –
A.W. Pink
*Songs of Preparation
Praise to the Lord, The Almighty
Praise to the Lord the Almighty
The King of creation
O my soul praise Him
For He is Thy health and salvation
All ye who hear now to His temple draw near
Praise Him in glad adoration

*Songs of Praise
The Church’s One Foundation
Praise to the Lord Who over all things
So wondrously reigneth
Shelters Thee under His wings
Yea so gently sustaineth
Hast thou not seen how Thy desires ever have been
Praise to the Lord
O let all that is in me adore Him
All that hath life and breath
Come now with praises before Him
Let the amen sound from His people again
Gladly for all we adore Him
The Church's one foundation,
is Jesus Christ her Lord;
She is His new creation,
by water and the Word.
From heav'n He came and sought her;
to be His holy bride
with His own blood He bought her,
and for her life He died.
Elect from every nation
yet one o'er all the earth,
her charter of salvation
One Lord, one faith, one birth;
One holy name she blesses.
partakes one holy food,
And to one hope she presses,
with every grace endued.

Psalm 32:1-5
Leader:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy
Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give
us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as
we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but
deliver us from evil; for Thine is the Kingdom, and the power, and
the glory, forever. Amen

* Call to Worship
Leader:
People:
Give thanks to the LORD with the lyre; make melody
to him with the harp of ten strings!
Sing to him a new song; play skillfully on the strings, with
loud shouts!
For the word of the LORD is upright, and all his work
is done in faithfulness!
He loves righteousness and justice!
The earth is full of the steadfast love of the LORD!
Shout for joy in the LORD, O you righteous! Praise benefits
the upright!
Yet she on earth hath union
with God the Three in One,
and mystic sweet communion
with those whose rest is won.
O happy ones and holy!
Lord give us grace that we
like them, the meek and lowly,
on high may dwell with Thee

You Are God Alone
Restore us to the joy of your salvation,
and sustain us by your Holy Spirit.
We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
You are not a god created
By human hands
You are not a god dependent
On any mortal man
You are not a god in need of
Anything we can give
By Your plan
That's just the way it is
Silent Prayer of Confession
Words of Encouragement
You are God alone from before time began
You were on Your throne You are God alone
And right now in the good times and bad
You are on Your throne You are God alone
You're unchangeable You're unshakable
You're unstoppable that's what You are
You're unchangeable You're unshakable
You're unstoppable that's what You are
(Chorus)
You're the only God whose power
None can contend
You're the only God whose name and
Praise will never end
You're the only God who's worthy
Of ev'rything we can give
You are God
(Chorus)
And right now in the good times and bad
You are on Your throne You are God alone

RENEWAL CYCLE
Prayers of Confession (In Unison)
Merciful God, our Great King and Redeemer,
you pardon all who truly repent and turn to you.
We humbly confess our sins and ask for your mercy.
We have not loved you with a pure heart,
nor have we loved our neighbors as ourselves.
We have not done justice, loved kindness,
or walked humbly with you, our God.
We have not hungered and thirsted for righteousness,
and have instead indulged our appetites for sin.
Have mercy on us, O God, in your loving-kindness.
In your great compassion, cleanse us from our sin.
John Dickinson

Jeremiah 29:11–14a 11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the
Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
12
Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear
you. 13 You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your
heart. 14 I will be found by you, declares the Lord, and I will restore your
fortunes …
*Song of Response
How Deep the Father’s Love for Us
How deep the Father's love for us
How vast beyond all measure
That He should give His only Son
To make a wretch His treasure
How great the pain of searing loss
The Father turns His face away
As wounds which mar the Chosen One
Bring many sons to glory
Behold the Man upon a cross
My sin upon His shoulders
Ashamed I hear my mocking voice
Call out among the scoffers
It was my sin that held Him there
Until it was accomplished
His dying breath has brought me life
I know that it is finished
I will not boast in anything
No gifts no power no wisdom
But I will boast in Jesus Christ
His death and resurrection
Why should I gain from His reward
I cannot give an answer
But this I know with all my heart
His wounds have paid my ransom

Oh no, You never let go
Through the calm and through the storm
Oh no, You never let go in ev’ry high and ev’ry low
Oh no, You never let go, Lord, You never let go of me
“Surprising Grace”
Offerings of the People

Place My Hope
The troubles of my heart
They're tearing me apart
How I need Your saving hand
To grant me a new start
Lonely and afraid
I call upon Your name
Save me from my enemies
And cover all my shame
And I can see a light that is coming for the heart that holds on
A glorious light beyond all compare
And there will be an end to these troubles but until that day comes
We'll live to know You here on the earth
And I will fear no evil for my God is with me
and if my God is with me
Whom then shall I fear? Whom then shall I fear?
Oh no, You never let go
Through the calm and through the storm
Oh no, You never let go in ev’ry high and ev’ry low
Oh no, You never let go, Lord, You never let go of me
You keep on running and You never let go
I will lift my eyes
From this fragile life
For You will rescue me
You are my Prince of Peace
And I lift up my soul
To You who makes things whole
Oh, mercy love of old
In You I place my hope
I place my hope
So guide me in Your truth
Be my strong refuge
Oh, forgive my doubting heart
And lead me back to You
Help me to believe
Your love is all I need
Even when the storm is strong
You will provide for me
Even in my darkest place
There's a promise I will claim
Those whose hope is in Your grace
They will never be ashamed
Words and Music by E. Holcomb CCLI#142077
Yes, I can see a light that is coming for the heart that holds on
And there will be an end to these troubles but until that day comes
Still I will praise you, Still I will praise You
